My rss reader (FeedDemon) picked up a new post from National Hurricane Center. No, there's no hurricanes out there. But, they've started the feed back up. Oh and good ol' President Bushie has declared this week Hurricane Preparedness Week. What a guy!

So, yuppers. It's that time of year again.

Gave my family and friends in a Florida a call. I was worried. So far they're hanging in there. They haven't lost power yet, but the mailbox snapped and went blowing across the lawn. First thought: Mistake.

Then, I noticed the advisory number was #67.

Second thought: You gotta be kidding.

The advisory reads:

...IVAN REGENERATES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO...

Third thought: Un-freakin-believable! @.@

I finished The Ruby Way, Exploiting Software: How to Break Code, refreshed myself on a couple of GoF design patterns, and because at that point my mind was getting too saturated with software crap, I reread The Little Prince.
