Gave my family and friends in a Florida a call. I was worried. So far they're hanging in there. They haven't lost power yet, but the mailbox snapped and went blowing across the lawn. Overall, "the luck" continues. I'll be giving them another call later after the storm has moved mostly through to make sure things are still okay.
I found out my parents and their friends went to Ybor on Friday night. They went out to eat and walk around. They also went to The Castle! Okay, they didn't actually go in, but they spent some time people watching. "Oh.... This is what these industrial/gothic clubs are like at night.... and that's where you've been going all these years." Heh.
Never made it out to Q's last night. I screwed up. Forgot that I had made other plans a month back with friends for that night. So, I ended up following through on those plans. Almost made it out to see some of you at the diner afterwards, but got too sleepy driving. I decided driving further was not a good idea and called it a night.
