Hee! Excellent remixes all around!
And I would love to hear a remix of Klavier's theme, too. It was one of my favorite tracks from Apollo Justice. I personally disliked Klavier himself, but dang he had an amazing theme.

Ok...I will admit to be utterly clueless about how paid collaborations work, but something about the way Anthony described the business...like, OF course she was needed to try to write in HIS style, but HOW DARE SHE SUGGEST SHE COULD DO IT AS WELL AS HIM...just struck me as...Off. Like isn't the point of a collaboration supposed to be I write in my style and my collaborator works in their style, we find a way to blend the two things, and by their power combined awesome is created? I mean, I dang well know that not all collaborations are going to be equal in terms of overall contribution...Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, in regards to Good Omens, went on record to say that they really had no idea how much work overall they individually put into it, but that roughly speaking, it would have been more Terry's book than Neil's (if only because Terry was the more experienced novelist at the time.)
(Oh, and there is a case of "by their powers combined, awesome was made" for you.)

Oh, man...the more I hear about this book, the more it vaguely reminds me of a Mercedes Lackey solo title called Reserved for the Cat (basic plot: Puss In Boots, only with a young Ballet Dancer instead of a poor farm boy, and set in Victorian Europe.) Only the romantic male lead wasn't Rapey McAwful Male Heman Woman Hater. And anyone, regardless of gender, had the potential to be born with magic. And no institutionalized slavery. And...just overall all a lot less creepy on all counts. Yeah, the heroine starts out as a picked on little doormat who is also a lowly chorus girl with no real prospects of advancement, plus an orphan (Mercedes Lackey is...rather fond of the Cinderella tropes), but by the end of the story, she's handling the villain of that book by marching directly into the villain's lair and pumping them full of Sanctified Bullets.
Seriously. I kept expecting her to haul out the Holy Hand-grenade, because why the hell not. XD
Oh, Mercedes Lackey...you and your very Sueish Heroines. It's all pure mind candy, but sometimes junk like that is weirdly fun.

But this one...yeah. I still blame Anthony for the worst parts of this one. And Faro just sounds...uggh.

Haha I didn't mind Klavier so much BUT MAN HIS THEME WAS SO GOOD
IT WAS BETTER THAN APOLLO'S TURNAROUND THEME
I WAS ACTUALLY HAPPIER WHEN KLAVIER WAS WINNING SO I COULD LISTEN TO IT

and yeah it seems weird to me i mean, I've done collabs with fandom people and such before like Jaz and it was always kind of a building process where we contribute stuff and build off our ideas until a full picture comes out. BUT I DUNNO I DUNNO HOW THEY DID THE WHOLE THING SO MAYBE THAT'S HOW THEY DID IT TOO altho from Anthony's resentment of Lackey that seems kind of unlikely.

Heeee, I kinda figured I was in the minority in my Klavier aversion. I wanted to like him, because he seemed like the sort of character I would normally love. (Pretty character design, friendly, charismatic rival who air guitars in court and always seems to be in 'auto-flirt' mode. He sounded amazing.) In the game itself...let's just say he ended up being the subject of many rants.* BUT I WOULD SOMETIMES JUST STOP PLAYING FOR A FEW MINUTES JUST TO LISTEN TO HIS THEME. IT WAS GLORIOUS.
I also was quite fond of this one track that I don't know the name of...it tended to play during the really tense moments of the investigations.

Yeah, the way he was describing it, it almost doesn't sound like they ever even talked to one another. Very weird.

*I WILL say, though, he and the judge had one of my favorite random exchanges in the game. Namely, the whole business of Alita leaving her strappy little wedge heel shoe at work (or something), and they ended up agreeing that THEY would have worn those shoes home.
I instantly pictured them sitting next to each other, trying on strappy heels with positively gleeful expressions on their faces. YAY, SHOES.
