SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS BETTER AT WRITING LIKE ME THAN I AM. I dunno if it's possible for anyone to be worse tbh.

Obviously Faro saves the horse and then the horse SEES HIM FOR THE MAN HE REALLY IS INSTEAD OF A SLAVE

Nice to know our protagonists are Adventurers to the core. Why do slaves have valuables. And why would you bother making so many things. Just conjure them up as required. Though I guess since the conjurer can dispel them at will or something.

OH GOSH I'M CLEANING AND IT'S WONDERFUL.
Gonna go buy a Kitchen Slave to keep Faro company afterwards.

ALSO "I WAS GONNA RAPE YOU BUT THEN I FELT YOUR BREASTS ON MY BACK." Uh.

A SNEAK THIEF. SNEAK THIIIIEEEFFFF. These Slaves seem to have a fairly complete family life considering that men are only slaves in this place. Since, you know, exile for killing and raping someone in their woman-trial.

DID THEY AGREE TO WRITE IN THAT STYLE BEFOREHAND OR DID HE PULL THAT OUT OF THIN AIR? SO MANY QUESTIONS

I've been wondering how family life works if every man is a slave. I WONDER IF THEY'LL EVER GET INTO IT

You know, I realize this is a tall order for Anthony, but I don't think he understands that rape isn't just a natural way that men and women interact. In a culture where women hold all the power I imagine rape culture, if it existed, would look very different.

This book is supposedly about female empowerment and A WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN!! but really all it seems to do is reinforce gender stereotypes and patriarchal ideals. THIS IS THE WORST TRIP THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS I'VE EVER HAD

It's like you were expecting Disney's Alice in Wonderland and wound up behind Pink Floyd's The Wall.

Or you found that hateful mailbox from Mother 3. ;_;

Haha I didn't mind Klavier so much BUT MAN HIS THEME WAS SO GOOD
IT WAS BETTER THAN APOLLO'S TURNAROUND THEME
I WAS ACTUALLY HAPPIER WHEN KLAVIER WAS WINNING SO I COULD LISTEN TO IT

and yeah it seems weird to me i mean, I've done collabs with fandom people and such before like Jaz and it was always kind of a building process where we contribute stuff and build off our ideas until a full picture comes out. BUT I DUNNO I DUNNO HOW THEY DID THE WHOLE THING SO MAYBE THAT'S HOW THEY DID IT TOO altho from Anthony's resentment of Lackey that seems kind of unlikely.

Heeee, I kinda figured I was in the minority in my Klavier aversion. I wanted to like him, because he seemed like the sort of character I would normally love. (Pretty character design, friendly, charismatic rival who air guitars in court and always seems to be in 'auto-flirt' mode. He sounded amazing.) In the game itself...let's just say he ended up being the subject of many rants.* BUT I WOULD SOMETIMES JUST STOP PLAYING FOR A FEW MINUTES JUST TO LISTEN TO HIS THEME. IT WAS GLORIOUS ( ... )

I love how he apparently knows the book is crap but it's NOT HIS FAULT, NOPE. Even though he was apparently the last person to touch it before giving it to the publisher.

I wonder if all the payment stuff was because (and I'm just speculating!) the contract was for three books and he broke it? How do book contracts worrrrrrrrrk.

This is just... the worst book, isn't it. D: It's like some kind of reverse Stockholm Syndrome thing or something.

hahaha i know right
and i mean is he implying that she gave him a proof and he hated editing it so much that he just quit out of the contract? That seems pretty lazy.

hahaha YOU COULD BE RIGHT

I BET HE WAS A JOY TO WORK WITH TOO. And yeah, it sure sounds like it! I love the reference to "a high powered New York auditor", too. Better not mess with him!

...Somebody mentioned Good Omens; check out what Pratchett has to say about that collab! (About a third of the way down the page.) What a contrast, right?
