On a personal note, I was very gratified that some of you both enjoyed and commented on my
previous share. But it ain't all about me, folks. Oh heavens, no. It's also, in part, about
myourself who not only identified the [not exactly subtle ;)] quote in said last postage, but also had a request of sorts, which leads us right to This, Now.
how about uploading a version of The Blue Light with FZ localizing the lyrics to make them relevant to where they were playing?, our commenter said, and so it shall be. I haven't listened to a ton of Blue Lights, but two in particular immediately sprang to mind upon reading that comment.
On the fall 1980, 1981 US and 1982 Europe tours, "The Blue Light" gave FZ ample opprotunity to rant and joke about whatever happened to come to mind that day, at that moment, whether it was something happening in the audience, something that happened to One of the Guys in the Band or, quite often, the Local Color.
Here's two really good examples, bundled together. One from December 2, 1980 in Ft. Collins, Colorado (soundboard recording) and one from the second show of the 1982 tour, May 7 in Stockholm (damn good audience recording). I'll say no more about the contents (no spoilers here!) FZ says plenty enough himself.
