#4 in a thought to be abandoned series, just in time for Zappadan.

I guess I haven't done one of these little shares in a couple months. I've been a pretty busy fellow, working a lot of long shifts. Really, I don't know if anyone noticed or cared that I haven't made one of these posts in a while, but here's another one for you.

Here is an alternate, extended version of the opening track from Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar, "five-five-FIVE", which I imagine many of you haven't heard. This comes from an acetate of an early version of the Shut Up album, before FZ settled on the final version we all know, which was discovered somewhere, somehow, a few years back. "five-five-FIVE" is the only track from the acetate source known to be different from the final album version.

In the event that you never knew and might have been curious, "five-five-FIVE" was named for its time signature -- two sections of 5/8 + one section of 5/4. I was going to describe how you can count along to it while listening at home, but it's hard to come up with something that makes sense as plain text. But if you can make sense of this, try it.

Or the more visceral: BAP BAP, BAP BAP, dit dit dit dit dit.

At any rate, here's the thing: Download here! (right click, save as, you know the deal.)
