Somehow the rest of the week got away from me, but it was the Thanksgiving weekend, so that's no surprise.

Wednesday I cooked and cleaned all day. I made sage vegan sausage stuffing, caramelized butternut squash, alfredo spaghetti squash, mashed sweet potatoes and crescent rolls stuffed with smoked tofu, chipotle mustard and sweet peppers. Everything vegan. Wednesday night I got into a lousy mood. I want to like the holidays, but it's difficult. Lots of bad memories usually surface and I spend a few days in a black cloud of doom. As a result, I wasn't really feeling Thanksgiving on Thursday. Mostly I just sat on my dad's couch and watched the James Bond marathon. Friday I visited my grandparents and then co-hosted a second Thanksgiving at my friend's house, which started out stressful, but ended very well.

Saturday I had lunch with my dad and aunt (who was visiting) and then went to Baltimore yet again for a friend's birthday. We went to Crabtown, an amazing bar/crab place/arcade in the middle of nowhere outside the city. I was too tired to really enjoy it, but had a good time overall. Sunday we went out for brunch and then came back to Philadelphia. I wound up rearranging all the furniture and sorting my book collection, yet again. I'm almost finished, but there is still more work to do.

Later today I have to work on some music and then I have band practice. This week will be devoted to writing, working on the EP, and at some point I'm planning to have a double feature of THE SKIN I LIVE IN and MELANCHOLIA, both of which are finally in the local theater. I can't seem to shake my bad mood, but I think it will help if I can get focused and cross some things off my to do list.
