The other night I had a small pitched battle with the wildlife in my backyard. All would have been well if they’d stayed in the yard where they belong.  I had left a bushel of squash on my mud porch and came home to find several squirrels having a lovely dinner buffet. The only thing missing were the checked tableclothes and a nice Chianti.

Over the summer I’ve followed the renovations in the neighborhood. The house to the north of me is almost finished. The owner took me in and showed me what they had done. They only had the kitchen left. They’d saved the old claw foot tub in upstairs bath. They even had a professional restorer refinish the white coating.

I’m still working on my de-junking project.  I need to finish it soon, I have to host my Open Circle meeting for church soon or they’ll start wondering if I’m some sort of weird hermit.  Ok, I am some sort of weird hermit.  I just don’t want them to know it.
