Clearly, I've been keeping up with this month-long meme

But before I get on with playing catch up, just one thing: This new David Tennant project, Single Father, is a full-on series and not a TV movie? There will be 4 episodes of him with kids? That sound you hear is me trying to remember how to breathe. It's my one super girly weakness: hot guy with a kid. That is, if you don't count my other super girly general weakness: hot guys.

Anyway, I think my original point was how I had so little knowledge about Tennant's new to-do. I used to be so on top of things like this. I remember back in ye olde Alias days when Alias Media would not only have updates for new projects, but they also broke news before most news outlets and damn near had daily set reports. I only had to go to one site to read more Alias news than I cared to even know. It was glorious.

I'm pretty sure a lot of fandoms are still that detail-oriented, but I really don't know. Other than reading fandomsecrets, which reminds us all that some fandoms are still 135% batshit crazy, I tend to skim over fandoms these days, just popping my head in every so often to catch up on news and see the latest brewing 'shipper wars. (Side note: I'm having SD-1.net flashbacks. The last days of that board were amazingly, epicly trainwreck-y.) The community aspect is something I miss, but I'm glad to avoid the general negativity that usually comes with being on the internet. In any case, I get to stalk the lovelies I heart the mostest on Facebook and Twitter.

Well. Not sure where this entry completely spiraled out of my hands, but there we go. The exhaustion has caused me to ramble. On with the daily meme that I will now cheat by doing a bunch of days at once:

Day 8: One band/singer whose popularity you will never understand.: Kings of Leon- "Sex On Fire"
Look, I get why people like Kings of Leon. Their songs are catchy enough. I'll even admit to liking all of their singles the first time I heard them. After the seventeenth time I heard them within an hour, though, I was over it. They're just not that impressive. I'm just going to end this rant before it really gets started.

Day 9: A song that reminds you of an ex.: "Tainted Love"- Soft Cell

Day 10: A song that reminds you of your father. : "El Paso" Marty Robbins
Dad's favorite song

Day 11: A song that reminds you of your mother.: "Stayin' Alive"- Bee Gees
My mom loves her some Bee Gees

Day 13: A song you sing in the shower. : "My Life Would Suck Without You"- Kelly Clarkson

Day 14: A song from the year you were born. : "With Or Without You"- U2 (1987)

Day 15: A song you liked in high school.: "U + Me = Us (Calculus)"- 2gether
I met one of my best friends on the first day of high school when I commented on the 2gether picture I saw in her notebook. We bonded over singing this song at our classmates a few days after that. Thus, 2gether promotes life-long friendships. True story.

Day 16: The first song in your mp3 folder.: 3LW- "No More"
I regret nothing in revealing this, even if one of the lyrics in it references "last year" to be 8th grade. ...Actually, no. I now regret it.

Day 17: The last song in your mp3 folder.: Zero 7- "Somersault"
Yep, I have no idea why I have this song. Don't think I've ever listened to it.

Day 18: An instrumental song you like. : "Married Life"- Michael Giacchino (from the Up Soundtrack)
I'm a fan of pretty much all of Giacchino's work, but this is, hands down, my favorite. It's memorable and has the ability to be both the happiest and the most heartbreaking tune you've ever heard.

Day 1: Your favorite song.
Day 2: A song that makes you cry.
Day 3: A song that makes you dance.
Day 4: Your favorite male singer.
Day 5: Your favorite female singer.
Day 6: Your favorite band.
Day 7: One band/singer you're ashamed to admit you like.
Day 8: One band/singer whose popularity you will never understand.
Day 9: A song that reminds you of an ex.
Day 10: A song that reminds you of your father.
Day 11: A song that reminds you of your mother.
Day 12: A song that makes you want to have sex.
Day 13: A song you sing in the shower.
Day 14: A song from the year you were born.
Day 15: A song you liked in high school.
Day 16: The first song in your mp3 folder.
Day 17: The last song in your mp3 folder.
Day 18: An instrumental song you like.
Day 19: Your favorite love song.
Day 20: Your favorite breakup song.
Day 21: A song that makes you want to break stuff.
Day 22: Your favorite song from a movie.
Day 23: Your favorite duet.
Day 24: Your favorite cover song.
Day 25: Your favorite song from 2010 (so far)
Day 26: Your favorite music video.
Day 27: One song in your mp3 folder you're pretty sure no one else has.
Day 28: One song that needs to never be played again.
Day 29: One song that gives you the creeps.
Day 30: A song you'd like played at your funeral.
