Summary: The kingdom of Lacroix finally had their princess but a misunderstanding almost cost the princess her life. In the middle of a fairy war, can the prince get the chance to wake her princess?
Its a battle of good versus evil... will the fairies stop the evil creature who threatens to take their lives?
As they fight to protect the human and fairy kingdoms, will the fairies be also able to find their true love?
Chapter 8: Ice and Water
Lacroix Forest, somewhere in the center
“Sue, do you think we have enough?”
Sue grinned, “yeah… honestly I think we overdid it a little but this is our godchild’s birthday so its okay.”
“Time passed quickly… it was just like yesterday when she was handed to us and now she’s a lady.”
Sue nodded and smiled, “after this… she can live her life as her true self… somehow, we managed to protect her for 16 years.”
“The day isn’t over yet though… I’m still kind of worried…”
Diane suddenly stopped walking and Sue looked at her confused. The former then opened her palm and her pixie appeared. Sue ran back to Diane to listen to the pixies update…
“Mistress Dify , Mistress Suzy… Mistress Ivy said you have been found and that you need to come as soon as possible.”
Sue dropped the groceries and ran but Diane was faster, she grabbed Sue by the arm and whispered, “We can’t go there like this.”
Diane picked up the rest of the groceries and willed her wings to come out. Sue nodded exasperatedly and willed her own wings to come out.
“Now Suzy, don’t panic. Yuki is with Ivy I presume so Patey would be fine.”
Suzy nodded and the two flew as fast as they could with the pixie in tow.
Fairy House located in the South woods of Lacroix
“Yuki, what are those things?”
Ivy pointed to the mass of creatures flying and marching towards their direction. Yuki was still smirking, amused at the number of creatures they were about to fight. Ivy felt exasperated and smacked Yuki’s shoulder, “Ya!! I was asking you a question!”
“Ow… go easy on my shoulder… Min likes to kiss that.”
Ivy rolled her eyes, “too much information Yuki… anyway, just answer my question. Being a princess and having a fiancé like Prince Min, you probably know what those are right?”
Yuki nodded and pointed to the creatures at sky, “those flying skeletons are called Skris… basically they don’t have brains and blindly follow the wishes of whoever controls them. Those large black birds are Krones, their beaks are very hard and their claws are sharp… riding them are Qiennes and those big flying reptiles are fire breathing dragons… but of course you know that.”
Ivy nodded and frowned when she saw familiar shadows in the sky… “oh no…”
Yuki held the same serious expression as her friend, “Yes… those are dark fairies. Did they explain it to you when you were in Axiem?”
“Yes… Miss Boa explained about this. I just… couldn’t believe that it… this… is all real. That’s all.”
“It is very real. The kingdoms of Equion, Axiem, Lyrcos, Sairel, and Minnos have been alerted of the rise of the dark fairy king a few months before Princess Patience was born. It was just that they did not have enough proof then.”
“And they have proof now?”
“Yeah… cause according to Minmin’s research… only the dark fairy king can control his kind and manipulate those gentle dragons… Gah! I’m gonna save them!”
Ivy started to feel scared as she stared at the number of creatures heading towards them. Yuki nudged the west fairy lightly on the shoulder, “hey… I have your back.”
Ivy nodded and smiled, “I know… um, Yuki… those are trolls and monsters right?”
“Oh you mean those ugly things that seemed to have not washed for ages? Yeah. The human looking things are called Qiennes… they used to be guardians but was converted into those creatures. “
Ivy clenched her fists and gripped her wand tighter, “so those punks can use magic too?”
“Yes, just one element though and not as strong as we are so don’t worry. Ivy, get ready. They are getting closer…”
Ivy’s wand glowed and transformed into a blue and silver bow with a glowing arrow while Yuki’s black wand became a large sword with intricate writings in gold and silver.
A large black fireball was thrown as the opening attack from the air, Yuki and Ivy jumped at the same time to evade. Ivy fired her arrow and waves of water struck those in the air, burning them as they fall down as ashes… Yuki ran and swung her sword left and right, killing as many as she can rapidly.
“Ivy, please don’t kill the dragons. I’ll cleanse them later!”
“Noted princess…”
Yuki slashed the head off a troll and sighed, “Ivy… don’t call me that.”
Ivy grinned teasingly and flew to the air. She raised a hand to the air and summoned a sea serpent who immediately attacked those in the air. Raising the blue and silver bow, Ivy hit the dragons with silver arrows… enclosing them in large bubbles floating in the air.
“Looks like the air is covered…ew, its too messy down here…”
Yuki ducked as a troll swung his club aiming for her head; she gave it a strong kick on the chest throwing it back to the other trolls…the ground was now filled with blood as one by one the enemies fell.
“Aigoo… is this going to ever end? They keep on coming!”
“Ivy! You all right up there?”
“Neh!!! How about you down there?”
Yuki slashed three Quinnes into halves before she replied, “I’m okay! Except its too messy here, the blood is sticking on my shoes. Urgh I had it!”
The fairy princess struck her sword on the ground and immediately the monsters around her was turned to ice. She smirked and stomped her foot on the ground shattering the iced creatures into pieces. The monsters backed off a little and Ivy sighed and shook her head… “never mess with the famous Park temper…”
A dark fairy appeared behind Ivy and struck her at the back, making her scream in pain… the fairy princess’ head snapped up and launched upward just as Ivy threw a large waterball to the evil fairy who easily dodged and flew away smirking.
“Ivy, you all right?”
*pant* “Yeah” *pant*
“Tch.. that stupid backfighter… I’ll get him for this!”
“Wait Yuki!!”
Yuki touched the side of her sword and the blade shone, the inscriptions more pronounced than before. Her eyes glazed white blue and she slashed all that crossed her path (except dragons since she loves them). Ivy staggered and flew to stop her friend’s killing spree but she was slow cause of her injury…
