Jaejoong stared at his computer screen in disbelief.

"I don't go online for a little while and this is what I come to?!" He grabbed the lid of his laptop, ready to slam it down but paused and thought twice about it. No need to add more cracks and scratches on my precious gadget. He gently closed the lid and lied on his bed. The wind outside rustled his curtains making the man on the bed shiver from the cold. He had left his window open just in case Yunho needed to climb in and talk to him.

Jaejoong waited and waited- but no one came.

The next day, it seemed that the whole school has got another hot topic to talk about. Yunho walked in the building looking thoroughly pissed and bothered. He just hoped that whatever rumor had started, that it didn't involve any of his friends- especially Jaejoong and himself.

-Flashback-

"I'm here. Make it quick." Yunho barged in his mother's office without knocking and threw his backpack haphazardly on the floor.

"That is no way to treat your mother Yunho." Mrs. Jung replied sternly, looking at Yunho disapprovingly as she sipped at her steaming cup of tea. Yunho just regarded her warily and didn't bother to grab a chair; he planned on listening to whatever she had to say and jetting out of there. "Why don't you grab a seat?"

"No thanks, I'm not staying for long."

"Fine, suit yourself." Mrs. Jung stood up from her seat and grabbed a pile of papers from the desk, straightening them out before carefully placing the sheets in the filing cabinet. "So I remember you telling me that you would rather be a dancer than a business man like your father."

"Yeah and I also remember how pleasantly you reacted to that." Yunho answered sarcastically. His mother sent him a dark look and turned her body to face him.

"Do not interrupt me when I speak, Jung Yunho." She took a couple of steps towards him, picking up her tea on the way. "How would you like going to a school that focuses on honing their students' dancing ability?"

"Wha- you gotta be kidding! Last time you told me that dancing is a waste of life! Don't play around with me mom."

"I spoke with Mr. Lim, he is the director of Yingte University. They specialize in the art of dance and are more than happy to accept you as one of their students." She placed her cup down on the desk and looked Yunho in the eyes, smiling softly. "What do you say?"

Yunho was speechless. This was the perfect opportunity! Dancing was his passion and it had always been his dream to graduate from a well-known dance school. Maybe his mother was really trying to reach out to him now.

"So you mean I can go there next year for university?" He exclaimed with an excited smile on his face.

"No. Next week." What? Next week? But...

"But I'm a graduating student. I can't just leave KiJu in the middle-"

"I can make arrangements. Don't forget how powerful our family name is." Yunho stood there staring at his hands, if he was to leave KiJu next week... what about Jaejoong? Last thing he wanted to do was leave his precious boyfriend! But Joongie is understanding, besides I can just visit him everyday right?

"Where exactly is this Yingte University?"

"Where else can you find those kinds of prestigious schools? It's in the U.S of course." His mother exclaimed haughtily.

"What?! There is no way in hell that I'm leaving for the U.S. Thanks, but no thanks." The tall teenager turned on his heels and was ready to leave when his mother called out to him.

"What is wrong with continuing your studies there? Do you know how many students would give everything for what you are refusing right now?!"

"Since when did you even care for what I really wanted? I'm not leaving Korea and that's that." He pulled his his backpack from the ground and grabbed the doorknob.

"Jung Yunho don't you dare walk out that door. I am not done speaking with you!"

"What?!"

"It's because of that Kim boy isn't it? You're willing to give up this opportunity for that insolent- "

"Ah so this is what it's all about huh? You're not thinking of what I want, you're only thinking of what you want! You want me as far away from Jaejoong as possible don't you?"

"Yes I do. I do not want my son hanging around such a poorly raised- "

"Shut up mom! You have no right to speak that way about him!"

"How dare you treat your own mother this way?!"

"You were never much of a mother anyway!"

Slap.

Yunho's face turned to the side as he received a harsh blow from his mother's hand.

"You are defying me for that boy? You ungrateful child!"

"I'm sorry but right now, you're stepping all over the most important thing in my life and I can't let that happen." Yunho turned around and pulled the door open before Mrs. Jung could say anything more.

Since when did Jaejoong become the most important person in his life? Yunho wasn't sure himself.

-End Flashback-

Yunho entered the deserted men's washroom and slammed his fist on one of the cubicle doors. Yingte University man, Yingte! He rubbed his face irritatedly and closed his eyes. The first thing he did when he got to his rented apartment was search the school up. It was indeed one of the best dance schools internationally. Internationally, hear that? Internationally. If Yunho accepted he would have graduated from literally one of the best. He even found out that some celebrities such as Kim Sangwoo, Lee Soonki and someone called Big Daddy graduated from there! Hell he wouldn't even be surprised anymore if he found out that Michael Jackson also went to that school.

That's so intense man. Like double rainbows. Yunho shook his head and splashed his face with ice cold water before he could start singing the Double Rainbow song. He laughed involuntarily upon remembering how Jaejoong forced him to listen to the song and even made it as Yunho's ringtone. As if to further prove this point, Yunho's cellphone blinked signalling an oncoming call.

Double rainbow, double rainbow, it's so intense

Yunho grabbed his phone with shaky hands as he laughed at the ridiculousness; he would have to change the ringtone if he didn't want to miss any calls for laughing instead of answering.

Yeah, Yeeeeaaaaah, so intense
Double rainbow all the way 'cross the sky-

"Hello?"

"Yunnie? I'm gonna be late today okay?" Yunho could practically hear the pout in Jaejoong's voice.

"And why's that cutie?" He smiled and leaned against the sink, wiping his face with a wad of paper towels.

"My sister volun-told me to help with the shit for her friend's wedding."

"Oh? So you're ditching school for a wedding?"

"No, I'm leaving soon. I just need to help carry this overload of flower vases and I'll be heading there. I'd rather help with the decorations for the festival you know."

"So you'd rather help with the fest than spend time with me?"

"Aw, of course I'd choose you, you baby." Yunho grinned as he heard a faint 'Joongie! Get off the phone. Now!'

"Looks like my baby's needed now."

"Yeah, I'll see you later kay! Bye~"

"See ya." Yunho closed his phone shut and turned around to face the wide mirrors.

I guess my priorities have changed huh? Before coming to KiJu, Yunho would've jumped at the opportunity to skip the last half year of high school to attend the highly coveted university. How can mom dislike Jae so much? I know their first meeting went worse than bad but can't she give him another chance? She even tried to used my love for dance to separate us! Yunho hoped that his mother would just give up but knowing the lady, she would definitely make an unwanted comeback very soon.

Yunho picked his bag from the ground and straightened his sweater before exiting the bathroom. The halls were oddly empty considering that their festival was being held the next day. Shouldn't people be running to and fro?

"Yo, have you heard?" Yunho turned his head at the sound of some students' voices. They chattered about with scandalized expressions on their faces as they headed to the cafeteria. He decided to head the same way.

"Oh hey Yunho!" Go Ara and her lackeys suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Have you heard?" She asked the him with a sickeningly sweet smile on her face. Why the heck is everyone asking that question?

"What?" Yunho asked out of curiosity.

"Should I tell you or should I not?" The girl sing-songed, twirling a long piece of hair with her index finger.

"Fine, I'll go ask someone else."

"No! Ugh, fine. That hot chef in our school likes Kim Jaejoong." She spoke confidently, flipping her hair in the process. "And it seems that Kim Jaejoong is- "

"Oh really." Yunho responded calmly. "Excuse me then." He made a sharp turn and headed the opposite way he planned to, ignoring Go Ara's flailing arms.

"Wait! I'm not done!" The girl's shouts went unheard as Yunho turned a corner, walking briskly towards the culinary room.

"Noona, can I leave now? We've got all the heavy stuff settled in the van, I'm pretty sure that you're capable of carrying the bouquet yourself right?" Jaejoong looked at her with puppy dog eyes as he asked for her permission to leave.

"Why? Can't wait to see your boyfri- " The puppy dog eyes widened even more and Jaejoong hurriedly jumped at his sister to cover her loud mouth. He gave his noona a stare before cocking his head a bit to the left where their father stood. "Oh, sorry." She mumbled quietly once Jaejoong removed his hands from her face. "I forgot that our Joongie isn't even allowed a boyfriend." She giggled teasingly before walking away and telling him that he was free to go.

Jaejoong sighed and opened his car door. It was true that his father didn't allow him to have a boyfriend. Every time a guy came over to take Jaejoong out, he always thought that they were just wooing his son and, of course, he expected Jaejoong to reject them by the end of the day. It worked perfectly during Jaejoong's player days since there was never the same guy who came by twice- except maybe Dongwook. Dongwook had to wear disguises but let's not get into that. The point was, Mr. Kim thought that Jaejoong had also rejected Yunho after their date.

Yunho pushed the door open and, as expected, his friend sat on a kitchen stool with his eyes trained on his cellphone screen.

"Hey Seunghyun." Said man's head shot up, expecting someone from the culinary club to come in, not Yunho.

"Hey Yunho, what's up." Seunghyun placed his phone back in his back pocket and stood up as Yunho walked towards him.

"Nothing much, I just.... ah.... there's this thing I heard." Yunho didn't know where to start. How exactly was he supposed to ask if his best friend really liked his boyfriend? "Why are people talking about how you like my Jae?" There. Straight to the point. Seunghyun's eyes widened a little and his hands clenched behind his back.

"Huh."

"......."

An unwanted silence took over as one awkwardly scratched his head and the other awkwardly scratched his neck.

"Yeah, I just... is it true? Because man..." Seunghyun just kept quiet. "Wait, don't you already have someone you like?" Yunho's eyes lit up. It couldn't be true! Seunghyun had confessed about liking someone back at the cafe!

"Yeah, yeah I do." The other answered quietly.

"Ah, I knew it wasn't true!" Yunho chuckled happily. "I really should start turning a deaf ear on the rumors around here, some people just make stuff up out of nothing huh?" The tanned man looked at his friend expecting to see an amused smirk on the other's face. "Hey... " Yunho went quiet as he recalled a statement that Seunghyun had also said in the cafe.

"He's also in the cooking team that I'm helping. What are the odds right?"

"Why aren't you denying it? Come on man, answer me!" Yunho went stepped up banged a fist on the counter.

"Can't deny the truth Yun." Seunghyun finally looked up and met Yunho's gaze.

"You're kidding right?" Yunho let out a disbelieving laugh. However, the smile slowly faded as the expression Seunghyun's face didn't change; not holding even a tiny bit of playfulness in them. "You're not gonna try and steal Jaejoong away from me are you?"

"I'm sorry Yunho."

"Seunghyun!"

"Seunghyun!" Jaejoong burst through the door with a bright smile on his face. On his way to school, their main chef had contacted him and told him that Seunghyun was given permission to stay until after the festival. He was even offered to transfer here in KiJu High! The blonde felt excited to have his new friend stay longer.

"Oh," Jaejoong was surprised to find his boyfriend in the same room. "What are you doing here Yunnie?" He asked with genuine confusion tinting his voice. The two men in front of him looked at each other but didn't say anything. Jaejoong felt his own smile drop as he slowly felt the thick tension in the room.

"Nothing, I was just leaving." Yunho marched over to the door and grabbed Jaejoong's hand. "Come with me."

"I, um..." Jaejoong looked towards Seunghyun who looked quite downcast.

"Please Joongie?" Jaejoong looked up at Yunho and saw the same pained expression on his face. What the hell happened?

"Okay." He answered quickly, wanting to erase the sadness on Yunho's handsome face. I guess the good news can wait till later.

"Are you ok Yunnie?" Jaejoong wanted to ask what happened back there with Seunghyun but he didn't want to seem too nosy. He didn't know if Yunho wanted to talk about it or just leave it unsaid. He suddenly remembered how Yunho didn't even call or visit the night before so he just assumed that whatever Mrs. Jung talked to Yunho about had nothing to do with him.

"Now I am." Yunho wrapped his arms around Jaejoong and buried his face in his boyfriend's fragrant hair. He didn't realize how much holding Jaejoong could really calm him until now. Rough night and rough morning. I can feel the headache coming. He suddenly chuckled and hugged Jaejoong tighter. All because of this spunky angel in my arms.

Jaejoong brought his arms up and draped them over Yunho's shoulders; he didn't know what else to say. They now stood on the rooftop which seemingly became their little place to be whenever they needed to be alone.

"A penny for your thoughts?" Jaejoong mumbled weakly, shivering as the cold wind blew harshly past them.

"Hm, how 'bout a dime?" Yunho replied teasingly, starting to remove his jacket to place it over his boyfriend.

"Actually, there's a dime in my shoe," the smaller man shook his head and placed his hands over Yunho's chest to keep him from removing the jacket. "You'll be cold."

"Oh, then I guess you can afford my thoughts." Yunho grinned and held onto Jaejoong's cold hands, trapping them in his own tanned ones before placing a kiss and blowing some warm air into them. He brought Jaejoong closer to himself before sliding down against the railing, pulling both of their hoods up to protect their ears from freezing. "You really haven't heard of the thing going around our school?"

"No, what is it? Is it about us?" Right, trust Jaejoong to be the clueless one whenever it came to rumors.

"In some way yeah."

"Do I wanna know?"

"No, you really don't."

"Then don't tell me. I trust you to tell me if it's important enough." Jaejoong sniffed from the cold and buried his face in the crook of Yunho's neck. The bigger man smiled and rested his chin on top of Jaejoong's head. He wouldn't tell Jaejoong about Seunghyun's feelings. His boyfriend didn't need to worry about that for now. "How did last night go?" Jaejoong couldn't hold the question back anymore.

"Ah that. My mom wanted to send me to the states." At this, Jaejoong sat up from his slumped position and turned his body to face Yunho properly.

"What?"

"She asked if I wanted to go to Yingte University, which is a dance school in the U.S." Yunho grabbed a lock of Jaejoong's hair and twirled the soft strands between his fingers.

"Oh..." Jaejoong looked down, knowing how much Yunho loved to dance. Did he take the offer? Is that why he didn't meet me? Is that why we're here right now, having this talk? Is he gonna say goodbye? He closed his eyes and couldn't keep the negative thoughts floating around his head. "So when are you leaving?"

"What?"

"To go to the states. When are you leaving?" Jaejoong fiddled with a loose string at the hem of his sweatshirt. They had only been together for a short while. Sure, they've known each other for months now but their relationship wasn't really what you would call a loving one the first time they met. It would make sense if Yunho chose to pursue the dream he wanted for so long over Jaejoong.

"Wait, wait, who said I'm leaving?"

"You're not? Aren't you leaving?"

"What?"

"What?"

Yunho paused before he chuckled and brought his bewildered lover closer.

"Joongie~" He held onto Jaejoong's wrists and pulled him to sit on his lap. "Why would I leave when I've got someone like you right here?"

"Hm," Jaejoong looked down and couldn't stop the blush rising on his cheeks. He had never been in this position before. "I dunno." He folded his legs under his thighs and rested his hands on Yunho's shoulders to steady himself.

"I refused of course," Yunho grinned and brushed a hand over Jaejoong's pink cheeks while he unconsciously placed the other over the hand resting on his left shoulder. "I'm not leaving you for another country- "

"But you love dancing!"

" -no matter what they've got to offer." Yunho looked into Jaejoong's eyes and cupped his face. "I don't care. I lo- " Yunho swallowed as he choked on his own words. What the hell? Say it! Say it! "Jaejoong... I...." He shook his head and decided to forego it. He brought the smaller man's face closer, capturing Jaejoong's cold lips in a tender kiss.

Jaejoong pressed harder into the kiss, relishing in the warmth that Yunho could offer and brought his free hand around his lover's neck to bring their bodies closer. Yunho's hand released Jaejoong's face in favor of sliding down to hold onto the other's slim hips. They parted for a bit to suck in some much needed air before connecting their mouths back into a more heated kiss. Yunho's hand slid down even more and came to rest at Jaejoong's thigh. The action surprised the latter which caused him to accidentally bite down on Yunho's tongue.

"Ow!"

"Sorry! Sorry! I'm so sorry! Aish..." Jaejoong panted and hugged Yunho tightly, apologizing over and over as he carefully slid his leg away from Yunho's grasp.

"It's ok, it didn't hurt that much." Yunho chuckled, amused at how freaked out Jaejoong got. Guess Mr. Heartbreaker is a virgin after all. Somehow, that newfound information just made Yunho's day. He quietly took out his phone as he patted Jaejoong's back in reassurance.

From: U-Know

Hey dude? Jaejoong's all mine.

Meanwhile, at the usual lunch table, the whole group gathered to eat their beloved lunches.

"They say Seunghyun likes Jaejoong and wants to stay here so he's moving houses?" Eeteuk whispered into Siwon's ears. The other man's eyes widened before shrugging helplessly. He turned to Heechul, who sat beside him, and whispered what he heard from Eeteuk. Heechul's mouth dropped and immediately turned to whoever sat beside him which happened to be Donghae. Donghae gasped audibly and whispered what he heard to Yesung. This silent conversation went on for a while until it reached the end of the other side of the table where Junsu, Yoochun and Changmin sat. Junsu whispered what he thought he heard into his boyfriend's ear which caused a confused frown to mar Yoochun's face.

"Jaejoong's cooking cheese at Seunghyun's house?"

Next

See, Mrs. Jung's first attempt wasn't that harsh!
This chapter feels so short and all over the place than how I usually write huh? My throat is killing me :[ I can't concentrate there's some kinda bug going around in Canada or something but oh well! I'm not too sick =D

We'll find out how exactly the rumor got out later and also, next chapter's the festival! Finally. I'm getting tired of the preps haha~

Oh! OH I have something to say =D skip this if you don't wanna read the author's fangirl rambles hehe...

Kay so, I was on a "Totally Captivated" marathon a few days back and on one of the chapters where the main character checked his missed calls, it said "YOONJAE" on the list of who called and I laughed and squealed louder than I should have.
Alright that's it for the story LOL. I'm sure that those of you who also read this manga noticed that one little thing too ;D

Thank you so much for reading!
P.S. That double rainbow thing is real LOL
