Monday
“Jung Yunho you bastard!” Choi Dongwook charged forward as he spotted his target walking down the hallways.

“What’s got your panties in a bunch Choi?” Yunho asked carelessly, taking a cigarette from his pocket and placing it between his lips. Dongwook pulled the cancer stick from the other’s mouth and threw it on the ground.

“You told coach that I failed our last math test?!” The dark haired man exclaimed, shoving at Yunho harshly.

“He asked, I just told the truth.” The brown haired man answered, pushing Dongwook’s hands away from him. Yunho smirked at the angered face of his basketball team mate.

“Fuck you Yunho.” Dongwook clenched his fists and tried to keep hi s cool. He didn’t need to get kicked out of the team by starting a fight with their star player.

“Hm.” Yunho turned to walk away, lifting a hand to stick the middle finger up.

“Come back here Jung!” The slightly shorter guy seethed in anger. Yunho shook his head before turning his body around while resuming his walk. He sent a glare to the guy behind him as he rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, ready for a fight.

“You wanna go Choi?! Get your ass here so I can sock your ugly face!” Yunho always welcomed a good morning exercise. He waved his fists around in emphasis and smirked as he saw his enemy’s face practically steaming in anger. However, his smile quickly dropped when he felt something soft hit his unsuspecting back. “What the- “ the brunette’s small eyes widened as he caught the familiar whiff of honey green tea mixed with a sweet vanilla scent making him whirl around to face whoever it was behind him.

Light brown eyes, jet black hair and a soft pale complexion was what greeted the teenage rebel’s sight. The girl in front of him tilted her head and smiled brightly.

Is this...

--

“Hey!” Jaejoong rubbed his sore ass as he sat grumbling on the ground. “Aren’t you gonna apologize?”

“What for?” The guy who bumped into him looked down as if he just noticed Jaejoong on the ground. What a gigantic ass! And no, I don’t mean the actual derriere of the intimidating guy right here because it’s pretty damn flat as a pancake if you ask me.

“Are you kidding?! You practically ran over me like a bulldozer on the loose!” Jaejoong irately swatted at the ugly clothes he forced himself to wear to rid of some imaginary dust particles that might have clung onto them. He heard slow footsteps coming over and looked up to the face of a handsome looking man.

“I’m sorry about that, Jung over there is a licensed bastard and will never change.” Mr. Dream Boy sent a dark glare at the declared bastard before holding out a hand for Jaejoong to take. The bespectacled boy glanced at the limb briefly before taking the offered hand and pulling himself to his feet.

“Thanks.”

“No problem,” Jaejoong saw how Mr. Dream Boy kept sending menacing glares towards the jerk as he continued talking. “Are you guys new here?”

“Yeah, my name’s Kim Jaejoong and that’s my cousin Nam Gyuri. We’re the new exchange students so excuse my cousin for not being able to speak properly.” Jaejoong explained in perfect Korean. Unlike his cousin, he actually took the time to learn Hangul from his uncle and auntie instead of letting English become his mother tongue.

“My name’s Dongwook.” The handsome guy spoke. Jaejoong fixed his bag on one shoulder and turned his full attention towards the speaker. “Where are you guys from?”

“Canada.” Gyuri and himself had lived in Canada for as long as they could remember. They stayed there and never really had the chance to visit Seoul until this year.

“Hello, my name is Choi Dongwook, welcome to the school.” Mr. Dream Boy smiled charmingly as he bowed towards Gyuri and slowly looked up at the quiet girl. Upon catching sight of the beautiful girl in front of them, the gentleman’s mouth froze in mid-sentence making him look like a frog trying to catch its prey but failing. Minus the tongue of course. Okay that was a bad comparison. Jaejoong giggled quietly as he imagined the possibilities of what was going through Dongwook’s mind right now. Maybe he feels as though a choir of angels flew past his head, all the while ringing bells and singing sweet songs of love. Ew, how cheesy.

“Hi, I’m Nam Gyuri, please excuse my poor Korean.” Gyuri murmured, all the while showing off her amazing pearly whites. Jaejoong almost rolled his eyes in exasperation at his cousin’s actions.

“Stop looking like a gaping stupid fish and get going already.” Yunho piped in from beside the struck boy. “My name’s Jung Yunho, remember it well.” The jacket clad man stated confidently before smirking and walking away.

Oh right, almost forgot about the idiot. Who the hell does he think he is?! Jaejoong stuck his tongue out at Yunho’s disappearing back and stomped his feet lightly on the ground. He looked down at the crumpled schedule in his hands and mumbled in frustration.

“We’ll be going then, thanks.” He turned towards Dongwook and spoke with a slight smile on his face. Dongwook couldn’t help but smile back stupidly at the adorable boy. Jaejoong bowed slightly before stepping forward to continue his search for their locker location.

“Wait! Let me help you guys around. We don’t want you getting lost on the first day now, do we?” Dongwook ran up to the duo and smiled brightly at them. Gyuri smiled back, barely understanding what the man just said. Jaejoong really did roll his eyes this time. No matter how Mr. Dream Boy acted, it was still quite obvious that he only wanted to spend more time with Gyuri.

“Uh ok I guess, where are lockers 143 and 144?” Jaejoong questioned for the both of them.

“It’s just around the corner, come follow me.” The taller man enthusiastically led them to the right direction as he explained everything that they needed to know about the school. He was careful to speak slowly in order for both of his companions to understand. Jaejoong watched amusedly at how hard Dongwook tried to talk as if he was with ten year old kids instead of two perfectly capable teens. “Here we are.” The tall man tapped on a metal compartment with the number ‘143’ embedded on it and pointed at a locker right across from it which had ‘144’ on the top.

“Alright then Gyuri, I think we should just bring a notebook and a pen. We have an excuse not to work since we’re ‘new’.” Dongwook blinked as Jaejoong spoke in fast-paced English. He had always been a little more attracted to those who could speak the foreign language well.

Jaejoong grabbed his stuff and went over to the locker across from the, hurrying to escape the potential cheesiness that he predicted was bound to happen soon. I wonder what kinds of pick up lines Dream Boy uses. Must be pretty interesting; maybe I should’ve stayed watching them like one of those awkward, little mood-killer creepers.

--

The basketball player’s eyes subconsciously lingered on Jaejoong’s slim figure before he snapped out of his thoughts and cleared his throat, trying to regain his stance. For some reason, he found that nerdy looking Kim Jaejoong incredibly distracting- in a good way. He didn’t know if that was a good thing for him, or a bad thing.

“So,” he started, his eyes landing on the girl in front of him. “Why did you guys decide to come here?” It was best to keep his sentences short and simple.

“Parents.” She replied just as shortly.

“Ah, so you’re Koreans?” Gyuri nodded with a smile.

“We stayed in Canada for 13 years, since me and Jae were 6.” She answered, sweeping her hair behind an ear.

“Good thing you came back then.” He responded with a charming smile on his face. “Wanna go for a tour?”

--

Jaejoong shoved his bag in the locker, ripping a piece of paper from one of his spiral notebooks before folding the lone piece and stuffing it in his jeans pocket along with a small pen. He fixed the huge glasses sliding down his nose and was tempted to just take the whole thing off. He didn’t really need it; it was just for show.

“Gyu- “ the annoyed man found himself getting even more irritated when he turned and found himself talking into thin air. “Did she just leave me?!” He mumbled disbelievingly. “That stupid, inconsiderate cousin!” He balled his pretty little fingers into a fist and connected it firmly against one of the sturdy lockers. Ow! Son of a beer! He shook his damaged hand and wanted to whack his head on the wall for the stupid move he just pulled. Luckily, no one saw the fail.

“Something wrong, Kim?” -or so he thought. Jaejoong could literally feel his blood boil at the sound of the familiar voice at the end of the hallway.

“No, just peachy.” He replied, halting his previous movements. Jaejoong then turned on his heels, heading towards the opposite way to avoid any further conversation when heavy footsteps sounded behind him and a large hand gripped his wrist to stop him from walking. “What?!” This Jung Yunho was really pissing him off. Their first encounter was enough to show Jaejoong how arrogant the guy was.

“Whoa, down boy. What’s got you so cranky?” Yunho pulled at Jaejoong’s wrist and dragged him to the nearest exit.

“Hey! What the hell are you doing?! Let go of me!” Our first day out of Canada; Gyuri gets an admirer and I get kidnapped by a brat. What a nice story to tell. He struggled within the stronger man’s hold even with the knowledge that it was futile. Who knows, maybe adrenaline would give him enough strength to get away! Not.

“Calm down English boy, I just need a small favor from you.” That’s what they always say! Especially in those mafia movies where they make their victims do crazy shit like... like I don’t know. Kill a puppy. Jaejoong let out a silent groan when Yunho carelessly threw him on one of the waiting benches right by the school gates. The man bent his knees in able to look Jaejoong in the eyes and without further ado, Yunho opened his mouth to inform the other of what it was he exactly wanted. “I need you to...“ Yunho lifted Jaejoong’s head by the chin and slowly leaned closer. The man on the bench closed his eyes in fright.

I thought these things only happened in dramas?! My god these people really exist! Mommy, wherever you are! Spare me!

“I need you to... help me make your cousin mine.” Jaejoong eyes popped open and he stared at Yunho incredulously. The hell? All these shinanigans just for that? This idiot could’ve just asked me politely! He brooded inwardly as he mumbled about people and their lost civilization.

“And why in the world would I help you do that?!” The stubborn man shouted. He slapped Yunho’s hand away from under his chin and glared petulantly. He figured that since the other had already wasted his time, then why not waste Yunho’s as well?

“Come on, it’s not like your very fond of your cousin anyways so it’s ok even if you don’t like me.” Good point, but not good enough. How did he even notice my nonexistent relationship with that girl? Yunho slipped his hands in his pockets calmly and stared down at Jaejoong. “What do you say?”

“No. Why would I even help someone like you? First time we met, you treat me like shit and now you’re asking for my help? Ha, you’re a real funny kid.” Jaejoong stood up from the bench and was about to walk out on Yunho when the taller man’s hands spread out to block his way. The shorter male grabbed the arm blocking his way and tried to push it down but to no avail. He was tempted to just screw it and bite the man’s arm until it moved away. But no, he would not resort to cannibalism; not yet anyways- this dumb crook was truly driving him on edge.

“Kim Jaejoong. You do as I say or you will regret it.” The man sent Jaejoong a glare which had the latter’s eyes widening. Jaejoong glanced at the clock at the entrance of the school and saw the hands hit 11:11 A.M. He found himself desperately wishing to just randomly grow ten inches taller and fifty pounds heavier. Whatever happened to your courage Jaejoong?! Oh wait, what courage? Hah.

“O-oh yeah? Beg me.” This is not courage. It’s suicide. The ebony haired boy tried, voice quivering a little. Open mouth. Take foot. Shove foot in mouth. What the hell are you thinking Jaejoong?! Do you have a deathwish?! Jaejoong closed his eyes yet again as he now wanted to rewind everything and erase what he’d just said; or maybe just erase Jung Yunho’s existence. Unfortunately, he didn’t have Harry Potter’s time travelling watch and Jung Yunho’s existence was completely and a hundred percent real. He didn't even know how those two things are related but anyways- said bastard was now sporting that powerful glare of his as he leaned closer towards Jaejoong’s ear.

“You wanna die?”

--

“You wanna die? Nyeh.” Jaejoong mumbled in a distorted voice, tapping a pencil on his desk as he pouted miserably. He would seriously kill his cousin the moment that woman came back. Back in Canada, they had decided to put on a disguise in order to cover their unexplainably good looks. They always caused quite a stir whenever they entered a new place so in order to avoid that, Jaejoong bought himself huge, dorky glasses and expected Gyuri to do the same. Turned out he was wrong; the girl enjoyed the attention too much. And now I’m being forced to help the world’s greatest asshole to get my equally as asshole of a cousin.

“I’m home!” Gyuri sing-songed as she entered the door. She had disappeared to hang out with her new friends the minute they were let out of school.

“You retard! You were supposed to uglify yourself too! What are you thinking wearing your best clothes and doing your hair?!” Jaejoong scolded, flicking a lock of Gyuri’s curled hair.

“Oh, lighten up Jae! No one will notice me if I wear... those ugly things you wore today! Ew!” She squirmed as if a family of worms just crawled by and smiled up at her.

“That’s the point! No one’s supposed to notice us! We’re not even staying here for long!” He slammed his textbook on the desk in hopes of getting his point through the girl’s thick head. Before Gyuri could reply, a series of knocks broke through the silence and successfully averted the cousins’ attentions towards the door.

“Jae? Gyuri? Ah, alright you’re both here. We’ve got your places arranged; the people who you guys are staying with are here to pick you up.” A middle aged lady pushed the door wide open and spoke with a friendly smile on her face.

“Are we staying in the same house?”

“No. Mr. and Mrs. Nam arranged two different households for you.”

“Okay, thanks.” Good. One of them would probably end up in the infirmary if they were to stay in the same house for the rest of their time in Korea. Gyuri and Jaejoong did not get along.

Jaejoong picked his bag from the ground and headed to the door. Hopefully, this family would be an amiable one. He bowed one more time to the lady in the business suit and sent a last glare towards his pouting cousin before heading out the door.

--

Jaejoong stepped out of the car and felt his mouth drop open as the front door fell ajar to reveal the beautiful place where he would be staying at. The house wasn’t all that big but it was very intricately decorated that it made it one of the most amazing houses that Jaejoong had ever seen. The walls were a light shade of peach which blended well with the dark mahogany furniture, a line of colorful flower vases accentuated the detailed paintings which securely hung on the plain walls and the floor, which could pass off as glass, had a pinkish hue tinted all over its ivory complexion.

“Wow,” he took careful steps towards the sofa as he didn’t want to damage the floor. Maybe I should have taken my shoes off first. He was so immersed with the sight that he forgot to leave his shoes at the front door.

“It’s alright darling, you don’t have to tip toe your way around here. The floor isn’t actually made out of glass you know.” The nice lady who took him in noted with a laugh. Jaejoong scratched his head sheepishly before pulling his shoes off anyways and placing them on the side. He slid a socked foot back and forth on the ground, revelling in the smooth and slippery texture. I wonder if I can slide on this without cracking my head open.

“Son!” The lady’s husband called out. “Son come out here, meet our guest!” Jaejoong heard some soft shuffling sounds and a door creak open before a figure lazily bounded down the stairs. The raven let out a tiny squeak and subconsciously hid behind the lady’s back upon recognizing the person at the stairs.

“Jaejoong, this is our son, Yunho. Yunho, meet Jaejoong. He’ll be staying with us for the time being, treat him well okay?” Yunho looked up at the sound of Jaejoong’s name and smirked contentedly.

“Of course, mom. I’ll definitely take good care of him.” The tanned boy declared in a sickeningly sweet voice and Jaejoong found himself wanting to just melt in a puddle of depressed goo and die.

“Great! Now why don’t you boys go ahead upstairs and bond while I fix some dinner. Yun, show him to one of our guestrooms please.” Mrs. Jung rolled up her sleeves and headed to the kitchen with a last smile thrown in their direction.

“I’ll go help with the dinner, make yourself at home kid.” Mr. Jung patted Jaejoong’s back before heading to the kitchen as well.

Jaejoong prevented a series of sarcastic thoughts at that line as a sign of respecting the kind elders. The devil’s parents didn’t deserve his wrathful, uncensored thoughts just because of their idiot son- even though no one could hear his thoughts anyway. Seriously, how could two angels spawn such an evil child? Jaejoong could never comprehend those stuff about hormones or genes or whatever the heck it was that turned Yunho this way.

“Follow me.” Yunho turned swiftly around and headed up the stairs, expecting Jaejoong to follow without a word. The smaller man huffed but followed anyways, lugging his bag behind him on the way up. Yunho opened a door at the far left and motioned for Jaejoong to enter. “This will be your room I guess. The other ones are too prettily decorated to be disturbed.”

“Why, thank you.” Jaejoong sent him a dirty look before turning to take a good look at the room. It was nice alright, just like the rest of the house but everything was all white. Oh so white. It’s like an asylum; a modified asylum designed to look pleasant to the human eyeballs. He could sense the cruel foreshadowing in this. “Uh, I’ll get settled then. Excuse me.”

Yunho entered the room and stood beside Jaejoong, completely ignoring the smaller man’s request. He sat on the bed and threw his feet up on the nightstand beside it.

“Mom said we gotta bond so come on buddy, let’s get bonding.” Yunho smiled.

Yes he smiled. He didn’t smirk. He smiled and it almost made me believe that there’s some humanity left in that kid. Jaejoong sighed before stepping forward and carefully placing his bag on the bed. He also made sure to sit at the edge of the bed farthest from Yunho. The raven zipped his bag open and started to fold his clothes neatly, ignoring the other’s presence for the time being.

“So. I’ve got questions.” Jaejoong peeked at Yunho from behind his huge glasses. He decided that he would take the glasses off the next day since Gyuri already blew their cover before they even had the chance to cover. “Which elementary school did you guys go to?”

“Gyuri and I? Regan.” Jaejoong thought that it was a weird question but he didn’t really care as long as the questions stayed away from his deep dark secrets- not that he had any of course. Yunho nodded at the response, seemingly satisfied about something.

“Tell me what she likes and doesn’t like.” Jaejoong nodded and was about to answer when a wicked idea formed in his mind.

“Oh... my cousin’s kinda picky you know.” He spoke, hiding a smile as he turned and looked for the closet. Payback time, sucker!

“I don’t care, just tell me Kim.” Yunho demanded, pointing at a door on the left side of the bed to indicate where the closet was.

“Alright, you asked.” Jaejoong walked to where Yunho pointed and plopped the clothes on the ground inside the small walk-in closet.

“She likes tie-dye roses and a star vase to go along with it. The star vase also has to be filled with pastel origami stars and- “

“Wait, wait, wait, the hell are you saying Kim?! There’s no such thing!” Yunho exclaimed, looking completely agitated. Jaejoong felt satisfied with himself.

“Well, her admirers in Canada had no problem obtaining those! What? You give up tough guy?” He taunted, looking at his fingernails.

“No, continue.” The bastard grumbled with a scowl.

“Anyways, the vase and the flowers should be wrapped in a yellow hamtaro bouquet wrap. As for chocolates, she likes hazelnut cream chocolate filled with dark and white chocolate mixed together and small walnuts decorating the outside. Hmmm what else? Oh! She has an obsession with hamtaro products.”

“What the fuck is hamtaro?”

“You don’t know what hamtaro is?!” Jaejoong gasped exaggeratedly. “Shame on you!”

“Kids! Dinner’s ready!” They heard Yunho’s mom call from downstairs. Jaejoong smiled happily before dashing out of the room to leave a bewildered Yunho in the pleasant looking asylum. He’d never felt as immensely satisfied with himself as he did at the moment.

Tuesday
Jaejoong lazily looked for a spot in the train as he yawned tiredly behind his hand. He couldn’t get enough sleep last night as Yunho kept bombarding him on where to get the ‘stupid tie-dye roses’. Jaejoong honestly didn’t know and he honestly didn’t care either.

As he was about to drift off to sleep, his cellphone unexpectedly rang making him jerk awake and stare at the device confusedly. He didn’t remember giving his number to anyone yet.

“Hello?”

“Jaejoong?” Mr. Dream Boy? How did he get my number?

“Dongwook?”

“Ah, you remember me,” a nervous chuckle came from the other line. “You’re probably wondering how in the world I got your number. Well, I actually asked Gyuri for it.”

“Oh, alright. I’m not with Gyuri right now if you’re looking for her and don’t worry she really does have a habit of ignoring her phone calls.” Jaejoong explained, thinking that Dongwook called him to look for his cousin.

“Actually, I need to talk to you.” Dongwook began. “I need a small favor from you.” Oh boy, does this sound awfully familiar.

“What about?” Jaejoong fiddled with his backpack before crossing his fingers together and chanting ‘please don’t ask me for help with Gyuri’ over and over in his head.

“Can you please help me with Gyuri?” I knew it. Jaejoong hated how these two guys only wanted to use him for their sake. Back in Canada, he didn’t have to worry about anyone asking him to help with his cousin as he was the one being chased. Maybe it really was a bad idea to make himself look unappealing. Jaejoong looked down at his clothes which consisted of a white tank top, a plaid red shawl and ripped dark blue jeans with a black studded belt keeping it in place. I was a total 180 degree turn from what he wore the day before. He fiddled with his long cross necklace as he thought of the right words to say.

“Um, I don’t know...”

“Please Jae? I swear I’m a nice guy!” Jaejoong almost laughed at that. Of course he knew dream boy was a nice guy! And that’s the exact reason why I don’t wanna help him! Even if Dongwook couldn’t hurt Gyuri, the girl certainly could and would hurt Dongwook. “Please?” The pretty man groaned at the use of such a pitiful tone.

“Fine. If you really insist.” He heard a joyful whoop from the other line before an obviously excitedly Dongwook returned to their conversation.

“Thank you so much Jae. Come meet me at the school library at lunch ok?”

“Wait!” Before Jaejoong could say anymore, Dongwook had cut off the line leaving Jaejoong to seethe in frustration. I don’t even know where the hell the library is! Ugh! He leaned his head against the window and willed himself to calm down. I swear. Someday, I will throw both Mr. Dream Boy and Mr. Tough Guy off a freakin’ cliff. Can’t anybody do their own wooing now?! Why do they even need help? It’s not like their ugly. Truthfully, they’re the most handsome shits I’ve ever seen in my life. The train stopped moving and Jaejoong got up to exit. He was approximately ten minutes early for class.

The exchange student ignored the stares he received as he slowly walked towards the entrance of the school. Googly eyes were thrown at him from all over the place as he tried to concentrate on remembering where his locker was located.

“Hey.” A well-toned, handsome man came up to him and decided that it would be alright to walk beside the annoyed beauty. “You new here?”

“I’m Kim Jaejoong, new guy from yesterday,” Jaejoong explained shortly. “Will you help me look for my locker? I can’t remember where it is.” He continued, looking up at the guy with big doe eyes and a small smile playing on his full lips.

“I-I-I-I-I uh...” Another man suddenly pushed the first man away and offered a greasy smile to the startled Jaejoong.

“Excuse the fool babe. I’ll show you the right way.” The newcomer placed a hand on the small of Jaejoong’s back which caused the student to flinch away only to bump into something sturdy. He looked up to see two identical- but not really- guys standing behind him. The bigger one was who Jaejoong had bumped into.

“Oh, sorry.” The dark haired boy immediately stood straight and tried to escape the rapidly increasing number of guys surrounding him.

“Wait baby! Come chill with my peeps!” One of the creepy men shouted before Jaejoong could get away.

“You make us sound like chickens! Peeps? The hell?!” The smaller of the two identical men whined, crossing toned arms in front of his chest. Ok, not so creepy anymore.

“Leave him alone.” A familiar voice came from behind Jaejoong and he felt a strong arm perch itself on top of his shoulders. “Go back in your dark corners or something.” Yunho added, turning them around to walk the other direction.

“That’s harsh Yun!” The previously stuttering boy spoke with a laugh. The others just shook their heads and turned away, chattering about the wonders of fried chicken and such. Jaejoong guessed that those guys were Yunho’s friends judging from the lack of violent reactions at Yunho’s provoking words.

“Where are your glasses?”

“Hm?” Jaejoong was surprised at the question. He discreetly shrugged Yunho’s hand off his shoulder as he spotted his locker. “I don’t need them anymore. I’ve got contacts.” Yunho murmured something under his breath that Jaejoong couldn’t catch. “What are you mumbling about tough guy?”

“Nothing. Meet me at the rooftop at lunch.” Jaejoong’s eyes widened and his actions froze for a moment. Shit. Yunho will kill me if he finds out that I’m helping someone else with Gyuri.

“B-b-but, I have an appointment with the principal at lunch.” Yunho rolled his eyes and leaned against one of the nearby lockers.

“W-w-will it take the w-w-whole lunch p-p-period?” He mocked, staring at Jaejoong intently.

“Stop c-copying me!” The smaller man lightly punched Yunho on the shoulder, blushing at the way he stuttered. The nerve of this guy! He’s the one in need of my help!

“Well? Will it?” The tanned man pressed on.

“I don’t think so,” Jaejoong answered, chewing on his bottom lip. “I can’t make promises though!” He hurriedly added.

“Too bad, make it quick. I hate waiting.” Yunho stated before straightening up and walking away to end the conversation. Jaejoong felt a strong urge to grab the piece of wood innocently resting beside his locker and throw it at the back of the demanding jerk’s head. The beautiful man decided that Jung Yunho was made out of 75% bastard hormones and 25% hot air.

--

“I’m here!” Dongwook closed the magazine in his hands as he heard Jaejoong’s voice coming from behind. He glanced at his watch and realized that it was already twenty minutes into lunch break.

“You could’ve at least told me where the library was you idiot. I had to run around asking people where it is.” He noticed that Jaejoong was panting and instantly felt guilty.

“Sorry Jae, I forgot.” He turned around to face Jaejoong and was greeted with what he thought was the most gorgeous sight he had ever seen. A choir of singing angels danced past his head when he first met Gyuri alright, but it felt like a huge trailer truck hit him square in the chest and ran back and forth over his body as he stared at Jaejoong’s figure in front of him. He was hit hard.

--

“Hey dream boy?” Jaejoong called out, snapping his fingers in front of Dongwook’s face before tucking a lock of hair behind an ear. His hair had whizzed all over the place when he ran to the library. “Dongwook!” This time, he clapped his hands loudly and that effectively woke the other from his daze. Here goes another reason to call him dream boy. What’s he thinking of that he can’t even pay attention to me?

“Jae?” No, Bob. Yes, Jae you idiot!

“Yes? What’s wrong with you? Come on, we gotta hurry up I have to meet someone before lunch is over.” He sat on the chair beside Dongwook and bounced on it a couple of times. Oh, squishy.

“Wait, wait have you eaten?” Jaejoong stared at the guy confusedly. No, he didn’t eat; there was no time to do so. What with both Dongwook and Yunho demanding his presence during his supposed break.

“No, I’m not hungry. Now let’s get started.” The smaller man scooted closer and Dongwook could feel a pleasant stirring in his stomach. “Gyuri likes blue roses so don’t give her pink or white or red, whatever the heck they mean, she doesn’t care. She’ll shove it back in your hands and would never speak to you again.” He spoke the truth. Gyuri was mean like that. Jaejoong only knew these minimal information about his cousin because of the fact that they went to the same school so he had witnessed a lot of heartbreaks that the male students went through in Gyuri’s hands. “She likes the chocolate called Ferrero Rocher and would like you more the bigger the box you give.”

“Hm, what about restaurants? Food?” Truthfully, Dongwook was tempted to ask Jaejoong what he wanted but no, he was supposed to like Gyuri; not Jaejoong.

“Anywhere really, as long as you pay.” Jaejoong drummed his fingers on the desk and looked up at the time. It wasn’t easy to sneak around the school hoping to avoid any of Yunho’s friends or, worse, Yunho himself so he practically wasted almost half the time looking for this seemingly hidden library and made sure to stick himself to the walls and abandoned hallways. “You should approach her at the end of the day. Ask her out before anyone else because she says yes to just about anyone. I think that’s all you need for now. Just text me if you need any help talking to her, I gotta go see ya!” With that, Jaejoong zoomed out of the library before Dongwook could protest.

I feel like I’m two-timing them in some way. Hah, funny. Now, let’s hope the spazz doesn’t get too mad at me. Jaejoong ran up the endless stairs, ignoring the burn in his legs. I better be appreciated with all the crap these two are making me go through! The tired man finally reached the rooftop and he weakly pushed the door open, dreading Yunho’s reaction to his tardiness.

“Where the heck have you been?!” Yunho’s large hands grabbed the front of his top and pulled him closer towards the angered face.

“I told you! I had an appointment!” Jaejoong’s soft hands grabbed at the clenched fists and Yunho’s grip immediately softened.

“I told you to hurry!” He screamed although he already removed his hands from Jaejoong. The shorter male took a moment to regain his breath from running before he retorted.

“Who told you to keep waiting?!” Jaejoong fixed his crumpled tank top and scarf, glaring up at Yunho.

“I waited because you’re supposed to help me! Not slack off!”

“Whatever! I hate you!”

“Hate me all you want, you still live in my house so you have to help me!” Jaejoong kept quiet, knowing how useless it would be if he continued to argue with the childish bully.

“Why do we even need to meet?”

“Because I said so.” Well not everything revolves around you, jerk. Jaejoong kicked at the small stones on the ground as he waited for Yunho to speak. “I asked Gyuri out and she said yes so you’re coming with me tomorrow to find the perfect place for a date.” Jaejoong’s eyes widened in disbelief. Why did it have to be him? Why couldn’t he just go alone?

“Why do I have to come?”

“Because you know what she likes and doesn’t like. I want it to be perfect.” Yunho whispered the last part but Jaejoong was still able to hear it. Okay, now I feel incredibly guilty for lying to him last night.

“Okay, I’ll come.” Least he could do was choose the perfect place right? Yunho would definitely throw him off the rooftop if Jaejoong told him now that the things he said last night were complete bull.

“Good. Oh and wear your glasses again, they do a good job of obscuring your face from my sight.”

Oh no he didn’t. Jaejoong’s eyes turned into murderous slits as he regarded Yunho with extreme fury. How dare he?! To think I also felt bad huh? Well too bad.

Mission sabotage Yunho’s wooing is back in motion.

Part 2
This was my entry for the fic contest and I still can't believe it won 5th place o.o soooo happy! After taking a long ass (felt very long for me) break from writing due to school work, I feel energized to continue writing again!

Anyways, thank you for reading! I'll reply to comments on the last part, but I love you guys for commenting here! <33
