Tonight at TKD Master R was noticing his son, E, not putting everything he had into a technique.  So he came up with a scathing yet mostly socially acceptable insult to motivate him:

Master R: "Your Grandma can punch harder than that!"

E: "Um, dad? Grandma is a black belt."

Master R:  "......."

Master R "Well, punch harder anyway!  You get my point!"

FINALLY went to Tae Kwon Do.  I would kick myself for not going sooner, but Genki-san's 2nd dan black belt testing was just this past weekend, and honestly he needed to focus on that.  And as i suspected, he was paired with me as a one-on-one instructor tonight.  I thought that might happen, so i'm glad i waited ( Read more... )
