Articles in major publishers about manga.
Two good articles on the decline of the manga industry in Japan since the 90's. The first one is from USA Today and the other Wired. The comments at the end of the USA article, well, few of them are good. Some are simply statements about how it is stupid and how they hate it.

Bwah? I haven't heard about the idea of patenting ways of paying less taxes (by the rich!) before. I think I agree that it does seem broken.

Pluto downgraded!
Pluto has been downgraded and is no longer a full fledged planet. It is a "dwarf planet" or a "minor planet" but not a full one because its orbit is oblong and has it crossing inside Neptune's orbit. There is one dwarf planet larger than it (UB 2003, I think) that is further out .
