New computer
So, I've had my new computer a bit more than a week. I'm glad I bought a new one. My old laptop has issues. Like shutting off when watching videos or being forced to "think" too much. Nothing quite like plugging along, doing stuff and suddenly the computer is blank and quiet. Anyway, old Alphonse (named for a character from Patlabor), is 6+ years old. Interestingly, that is the same age of my desktop when I replaced it with the laptop. Do I sense a trend?
Anyway, new computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad. I love how solid it is. This one is still unnamed but I'm leaning towards Shu Lien (inspired by the fact that I got to watch it ship from China and that Shu Lien is a pretty sweet character from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). I'm taking it easy on loading stuff onto it. It's nice having a fresh machine. :D
