It's heeeeere....
My BeBook Neo arrived yesterday morning via FedEx; it's small, lightweight and very white in color. See? Lookit:
I need to get a case (or make a case, either; probably the latter) ASAP for it, since 'white' for me usually equals 'target'. However, I spent some time poking at it and reading over the manual, and thus far I've managed to upload quite a few books, figure out the font settings, hook up to WiFi successfully, play with the Scribble function (yeah, you can actually sketch on it! I like that) and noodle around a bit with the other umpty-umph functions that this thing has. I haven't uploaded any music to it yet-- I'm kind of waiting to pick up a 16gb SD card for that-- but it's a sweet little device. Or rather, SHE is a sweet little device; I have named her Hypatia after the last librarian of the Great Library of Alexandria, an intelligent woman who was a philosopher and mathematician as well as a writer; she was killed by a mob while supposedly racing back towards her library in an effort to save some of the contents from being burned.
