ok, so for this next school year, i was supposed to bring around 12 dances to Parkview their next 2 dance shows. I was ALSO supposed to be paid around $1000 for said dances.
well, i just talked to ms. b (head of parkview's dance dept.), and she said she talked to ms. deantonio from Brookwood (head of Gwinnett Dance Dept.), and ms d. said teachers are no longer allowed to pay more than $250 per choreographer. she said i would have to choose which dances i would feel like bringing for said amount. ergh. i HATE financial shit.
i guess one possibility is that i can go in, give her around half of the dances, and then ask her if it's possible for her to split it up between first and second semester, and then pay me once each semester- that way, i can get half the money i was promised...
i dunno, but new york is looking more and more expensive each time i glance that way...
