a new year!
Happy 2010, everyone!
It's been a great holiday season in this house. Despite it being my first Christmas without my dad, it ended up being full of quality family and friend time, with lots of good food, drink, and laughs.
2009 was quite a year for me. I'm in my longest relationship to date. I've made several decisions with another person in mind this year. Living together feels very right. It definitely did when I was in New Hampshire, but dad's death disturbed those plans. But after patiently waiting five months, Shane returned to Alaska - as I knew he would - and it's going really well so far.
I'm still dealing with my dad's death in my usual way - slowly and surely. I'm sure that there are quite a few feelings I have regarding his life and death that will probably stay under the surface for a while. I'll deal with it, all in good time.
Being in school still feels very right, and I'm looking forward to my next semester. I hope I do well.
