I think that Rihanna song is the theme song of my summer. I like to make fun of her and sing in a whiny voice. I'm sure it amuses the kitchen staff when I do that. And my friend Chris has it as a ringtone. That's borderline sad...
AHHHH!!! I'm going to Tampa for the weekend! I'm leaving tomorrow and it's going to be fantastic. I'm going by myself and I can't wait. I bought tickets for Saturday and Sunday's Tampa Bay vs. Red Sox games which is the main reason I'm going up there. On Saturday night I will be sitting in left field near the Sox bullpen and on Sunday afternoon I will be sitting in right field. It's going to be fun to go to a different stadium and see Red Sox fans just totally take over in Florida. Wish it wasn't Jason Johnson on the mound on Sunday though....he sucks. I also got myself a hotel room in Clearwater (about 10 minutes from the stadium) with a king size bed and that's fabulous. AND, today I decided that it would be in my best interest to rent a car to drive up there because frankly, I think my car is falling apart. The A/C is going to cost over $1100 to fix so that's gonna be a problem. And today I was pleasantly surprised to find a flat tire this morning. Yay. Someday I will have to except the fact that it might be time to purchase a new vehicle...Anyways, Tampa tomorrow in a car. Red Sox this weekend. WOO-HOO!
This week has gone by FAST. Probably because I actually did something on my day off this week. I was up and out of the house by 1 on Sunday. Went downtown, had a couple drinks and lunch at the Conch Farm, lost my keys, got a shitty tip-out from Red Fish for busting my ass Saturday night for the server's drinks and losing customers at my bar as a result of that...Hmmm...something's not right there. On Tuesday, randomly, me and two of my friends from Jack Flats (Mark and Alena) decided to book a reservation on a $20 sunset booze cruise. So we played tourists, drank free beer, enjoyed "island music", got to go out on the water and watch an amazing sunset. That was followed by dinner and a carafe of Sangria at Turtle Kraals...followed by a couple drinks back at their house...followed by a trip downtown to have cocktails at Virgilios...followed by drinks at the Green Parrot...followed by late night pizza at Mr. Z's. Didn't get home until 3:30 am...good times though.
So we had, or are still having, our first little hurricane/tropical storm scare. Tropical Storm Chris looked like it was heading in our direction, but I think at this point it has weakened and probably isn't going to bother us. But still....just got me thinking that damn, it's really hurricane season and serious shit could really happen. During Wilma, my apartment, which is on the first floor, had 2 feet of water in it and people in this area lost their cars as a result as well. Just hoping that nothing will happen this year...oh well, no worries, right? Just living it day to day here....
The Red Sox are losing. The Yankees are half a game up on us. WHAT HAPPENED?!?! Better luck this weekend....
