Long Path
God damn it I hate cliffhanger endings. D: In particular, cliffhanger endings where it is completely unknown when or even if all the unanswered questions will ever be resolved. Because then, when the sequel does come out, you'll have forgotten most of the events that occurred in the first chapter. :|
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find some cheese to go with my whine.
So I went and picked up Dreamfall last week. I heard it was one of those games that was really good, but was hardly played for whatever reason. And boy they weren't kidding. o_o Definitely has one of the best stories I've encountered in a looooong time. Shame the gameplay itself didn't quite hold up much on its own, but the story. Oh the story... o_o!
Let me put it this way, this is the kind of story where I'll be playing the game, realise it's suddenly 5am, go to bed, wake up at 3pm, and then immediately carry on where I left off. The down side is that, of course, I've now managed to finish the game in less than a week, but holy crap was it worth it.
And those characters - so well written and developed. I was actually a little disappointed when Zoë found herself someone else to become close to. ...And yes, I know she's not real and that I should hurry up and find myself a real girlfriend. Shut up. >_>
