Ugh, you have no idea how long it took me to get that nose to look not crap. -_- Still not totally happy with it, but whatever. Bored now.
I think I've finally sussed out the dichotomy between engineering and art too. For you see three is clearly a smaller number than a million when it comes to engineering, everything is calculated and precise. You want the things you build to be robust, and you want the whole process to be formulaic enough such that you can repeat it easily.
On the other hand, art is a bit more whimsical, lending itself to be allow for things such as one-of-a-kind freak accidents that suddenly makes it good or better. So, although it helps to have a fundamental understanding of the mechanics, such things are not law, and don't have to be followed nearly as strictly.
That's what I reckon, anyway. This might be worthy of further investigation. o_o d
