(no subject)
I have this knack for missing public transport by about 3 seconds. Typically it's the train that I miss, getting to the station just in time to see the doors close and watch the train pull out. Yesterday it was the bus. I walked down to the street where the bus stop is and just as I was turning the corner, I watch my bus pull out of the street and speed off. So I figured that I'd at least spend my waiting time wisely and pop into the adjacent train station to get a ticket. Not 20 seconds after I collect my ticket, the train pulls in. That's like adding insult to injury. I mean, the train wasn't even travelling in the direction I was going. I was tempted to hop on, go all the way to the end of the line, walk from that station to the bus terminal there, and then catch my bus from there. >_>
So it took me 45 minutes to get to Chadstone instead of 15 minutes. Bummer, man. And the trip back wasn't so great either. I walked out of the shopping centre towards the bus stop, and just as I'm exiting the front door of the shopping centre, my bus goes right past me. ACK! >_< Still, sometime next week they'll mail my driver's license to me and it will be expired no more. NO MORE I SAAAAY! :B
What is it with all these people calling me up and then playing a recorded message saying that I've won an overseas cruise? >_> Reminds me of that thing on Homestarrunner.com where Strong Bad all "Congratulations! You have been randomly selected to win an unlimited supply of ONE MILLION punchesintheface." Still, it could be worse I suppose. I could be getting hounded by tele-evangelists. That'd suck.
I really should plug the comic_exercise community. :3 I haven't been there for very long, but it has been fun so far. :D Really good excuse to draw something with a limited amount of effort. Though I think I'm failing at the prescribed 30 minutes on the info page. ._. Need more training!
