so... my friend Silvia from home (first year English with Djordjevic, yes!) spent several months studying in southern Germany about a year ago. she's also very pretty. and sweet. i really wish i were better friends with her, in all honesty. but anyway, i have a new reason to envy her: she got a hug from George Stroumboulopoulos!!
she says she will cherish the hug for life. you cannot understand my envy. seriously. (
clevermonikerr, if you were Canadian - this man would be your idol too, trust me) i am in awe of George. he's super friendly, self-deprecating, Greek (and therefore, must eat Greek too, mmm) talented, extremely intelligent, rather attractive, and... i kind of want him. i've been wanting to go to tapings of his show, The Hour for at least a few years now (i still watch segments of his show online here!) and am hoping to finally succeed when i return to Toronto.
but anyway... we just had a funny reunion chat about George, that pretty much sums up how geeky we are:
* Stephanie says: George Stroumboulopoulos?!?!
* Stephanie says: i'm a little bit jealous, not gonna lie
silvia says:OMMGG
silvia says: yesss
silvia says: i wanted to cry
* Stephanie says: he is one of my heroes! haha
silvia says: he has a semi crush on my friend from qc
* Stephanie says:no way.
silvia says: so me and her got put on the guest list
* Stephanie says: can we trade lives, for like a year? first Germany, now this?
silvia says: omg shut up
silvia says: youre in fucking england
silvia says: ENGLAND
silvia says: im like boiling in jealousy
silvia says: with jealous sauce
^you get the point. we're a pair of useless fangirls, yayyy. from a rational standpoint, i still must add: if you haven't discovered the wonder that is George, do yourself a favour and look up a few of his episodes.
we're now talking about the beauty of English men's accents...
