I have recently (in the last year) committed myself to an Ashtanga yoga practice. In May of this year I started the Teacher Training program at my shala, and gave up all other forms of working out so I could dedicate my workout time to yoga ( Read more... )

I've been eying the Richard Freeman and David Swenson Ashtanga DVDs for a while now.  If I could I'd rent them both through Netflix and try them out, but they don't seem to be available.  For those of you who've seen them both, can you think of any reasons someone might prefer one over the other - like, one is better about giving modifications, for ( Read more... )
