[One reason one should never wait until the last minute to do holiday shopping is you might not find it when you need to. It might be sold out, the mail-in could come too late, or you might get run over by a crazy lady and her cart in the department store.
Clearly, that is not a problem here. But another reason - which really she has no business having yet - is having to get everything at once. And then carry everything at once.
Or, in short, unrambling terms, there's a gal in the hall, wearing a new black turtleneck, boots, and blue jeans, and shuffling a load of other new items along in a cart. Staring at the giant wrapped present threaten to fall, instead of her path to the elevator.
