mintie makes friends
I've been googling around for mint growing tips and there's a whole range of mint to explore: chocolate mint, pineapple mint, swiss peppermint (Ricola-aaaaa!). Some of the writers make it sound like the plant has a personality, eg: All mints should be grown in containers unless you want them to travel around your garden making friends. Mintie (yes, I named the plant, and yes, I don't have much imagination when it comes to naming plants) seems to be doing fine so far, and in fact I think she's gotten bigger since she (yes, it's a girl!) got home last week. I just hope this continues. If all goes well I'll expand the family and get some sweet basil and rosemary. Yum!
