I have already called about the Lazik surgery for Kevin. They now have a payment plan. YAY! 70 bucks a month, I think we can afford it without much trouble.
I wish Tri-care would cover the surgery, but they don't ... yet. My husband has been wearing glasses since he was like 6. I'd love for him to not have to need them anymore. When I got my settlement from SSA, I agreed to pony up $2500 of it toward the surgery, a bit more than half the cost of the surgery, but when he went in, he learned that they weren't doing the program he thought. The money went toward other things.
Seems two library books have gone missing. I called Fort Hood in hopes that we returned them to the wrong library, but no go. I will double check the shelves next time we go to make sure it wasn't put back on the shelf in error. Also need to search the house, just in case.

Confirmed with Jess on her travel plans. She will be home..
Need to finish two colors on one of the cross-stitch pieces and that includes the backstitching. The only disadvantage to using the magnifying glasses to stittch is that my eyes blur for a while after using them. When I take short breaks in between this doesn't happen, but I got carried away and did a 3-4 hour sitting. Dumb, I know..
I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the woman that was murdered in Missouri and her unborn baby cut from her womb. This
article by Barbara Simpson was a real eye opener especially for those that argue when life begins. I heard the news reports on Friday where they referred to the child that was effectively delivered by Caesarian as a fetus. She was out, folks... and very much alive, if that doesn't say something about the survival possibilities at eight months of gestation, I don't know what does.
What sickens me is.... we are constantly telling children DO NOT TALK TO STRANGERS. When dealing with young folks on the internet, we tell them to not give out their address, telephone numbers, etc.. The advice to adults is... if you meet people from the net, don't do it alone and meet them in public. So, what does this 23 year old woman, an adult with an unborn child to think about do? She invites a stranger from across statelines to meet her at her home. Not a new neighbor that she might be living near, not even someone that she had talked to via the net for an extended period of time, but a virtual stranger.
What I want to know is... what was wrong with this woman who killed another woman, Bobbie Jo Stinnett, and stole her child? And how in the name of all that anyone holds holy did she manage to convince her husband that she had given birth and not even tell him that she was in labor?
The only consolation is that Victoria Stinnett was returned to her father and is in good health. I give props to the law enforcement officials that got that child back home in record time. The Amber Alert system works, folks.
Like Scott Peterson, Lisa Montgomery is going to be in the history books. That sad thing? People remember "Jack the Ripper," but who recalls Catherine Eddowes or Mary Kelly? Life is strange...
