HSV, cold sores or fever blisters

Jan 11, 2010 22:46

I was so 'sadden' by the fact that "huh?! don't tell me the 1st entry in 2010 is so auspicious" having to lament and whine about the recurrence of HerpesSimplexVirus. All of which was prior to me actually having log-on... Luckily, things weren't that bad (in this case) theoretically speaking it is the 2nd entry of the year.. still probably wasn't that good headstart.. *shrugz* ..

Anyway, this lip infection on the lip I have now, is (as what is displayed at wiki) that the herpes virus becomes dormant in facial nerves, following orofacial infection periodically reactivating to create sores in the same area of the mouth of face that the original infection occured. It is infesting itself at the same spot as the last time, the first time I had cold core. *pouts*

Did I mentioned that the sore spot has a twitch of itch that makes you feel like scratching it? *scratch scratch...* NO. I didn't actually scratched it of course..though I would very much liked to... *hiak hiak*

As far as I can recall, this would be the 2nd incident of me having this oral herpes but I am not able to pinpoint exactly how long did I not have it... *think.. think... think..*

Shall conscientiously apply the creme for treating cold sore until it heals.. It is in the meantime, making me feel thirsty almost at all times..

blah
