Pick Flip Read

Haven't been reding much these days. Yet because of curiousity, I have read 3! (just started on the 4th book). The first 2 of which that I read had got nothing to do with the movies I watched. I had  simply wanted to get back the familiarity of reading Alex Cross's near death encounters while he somehow always ended up unknowingly being in the "eye" of a hideous crime.

And then the 2nd book... was A Splendid Thousand Suns. It was somehow based on the same background just like the Kite Runner. Only that Kite Runner was more of a boy's story while Splendid Thousand Suns is more of a girl's or it might be more apt to put it as the fate of women in Afghan in the past (and probably now still). It was quite a good read though I must admit that I almost gave up reading because I was expecting a more melodramatic effect + emotional read comparable to Kite Runner. So, please if you do pick up reading Splendid Thousand Suns, try finish reading it. I'm glad to have pushed through the part of me getting bored & impatient for some "action".

The 3rd and the most recent finished read was Twilight I. Since I hadn't caught Twilight I (movie version), I got interested in knowing the whys and hows after watching the movie Twilight II: New Moon. So the next best thing to do was to read the book. Thank goodness that one of the cabled channels was showing T I (not to mentioned I also got hold of T I from a friend) and that together with New Moon helped me visualized the characters much better. Inevidently, the book's much more detailed on the happenings leading to one another and probably more sequential than the movie. However, it might not be that good an idea for the movie to follow in exact sequence to that of the book for that the move will end up having a longer show duration than it current has.

That brings me to my current read: Twilight II New Moon.
My intial idea was to get the 3rd book Eclipse but the book shelf was void of its other series besides this solitary New Moon. Of course I didn't mind reading the book after watching the movie (for comparison sake) and also hoping for a more detailed description of the events in New Moon. And I get to read the epilogue to the next in line - Twilight III: Eclipse.
