Bah Hambug Part Deux
I'm in Waco, unfortunately. I knew it at least had power and hotel rooms available, so we checked into a hotel tonight for A/C and a shower. I've never been so excited to take a shower in my life. Giggsy's all "Srsly wtf is going on here?!?!?" Bless her.
Still don't think we have electricity at my apartment. We're hoping for tomorrow. Hopefully we wake up tomorrow and see we have electricity and can head back home because it's going to get expensive paying for a hotel room, especially as I do not in any way have a job. *sigh*
I've finally been able to watch the footage. It's awful. Kemah's absolutely destroyed. Galveston is more than destroyed. Downtown looks horrible with blown gas everywhere, Reliant Stadium has the roof torn up. I'm just praying and hoping my apartment is okay. It's so nervewracking wondering if all my stuff is sitting under a foot of water with no roof or if a tree knocked a hole in the wall and looters are wandering throughout my apartment taking everything I own. I fucking hate that powerless feeling.
I just really hope we can leave soon. I have $200 in my checking account and that'll get me about 2 nights with having no money left over to live on until I get a job. This is just stress I don't need. :\
