I finally did it! lol

Ok, I have been wanting to wander down to Beluga Point, I haven't been since around July/August timeframe.  I used to go weekly, it was a peace of mind (and a search of Beluga's too).  So today, I did it.  Since I was well enough along with John M., it was clear and sunny, though bit nippy out there (esp. down there due to the wonderful winds that like to go through the Turnagain Arm).  Sat/Sun. timeframe marks the 1st Anniversary since we arrived.  We traveled up that road from Seward, and it was treacherous.  One couldn't see, due to nothing but white out conditions, and snow was a feet feet high on either side.  Then I remember we getting to a certain point, and occasionally, you could get glimpses out to the water, nothing but big chunks of ice way up high....to me, that was really scary.  I travel through there now, and definitely, as always, say, "Thank you God for keeping us safe that day".

So we went on down.  I didn't stay too long due to the wind and windchill factor.  I noticed that once you get down to the South of Anchorage, there is no snow.  I was shocked to see that.  But it was neat to see along the highway, along the jagged side of the Chugach Mtns., where the water normally falls out of the sides, now nothing but frozen waterfalls.  I think I will try and venture down that way again Thurs. if weather is permitting and health.  I managed a couple of shots at the Point, nothing much.  It was still an amazing thing to see, and esp. watching as the water made it's way back out from high tide.  Most of it is frozen over, but you can watch the big ice chunks moving along with the main stronger current area, while other areas are stood still, frozen.  I wanted to venture down to Portgage Glacier, but didn't want to over do it, cuz I planned on stopping over at Toys R' Us after.  Also was nice and quiet, some cars, but very, very few.  Nice change and break for once.

I very much wanted to go down and explore, but not being properly clothed, John M. wanted to stay in the car, and preg. with bad balance, my better judgement prevented me.  Something about a wind that can move you around too. :-)

On the way back towards Anchorage, admiring the views, one can make out the Alaskan Range.  You can see it in the summer, but so faintly, and always depends on the sun.  With the sun at it's position, and the bright white of the mountains, it was fantastic looking, and made one feel blessed again.  Til you start hitting tons of traffic, ugh.  But as I was traveling up Seward Hwy., admiring those far distance mtn.s, and seeing Sleeping Lady, I was getting ready to go over a small hill, right before the Dimond Rd. exit.  And long and behold, there she sits, Denali Mtn.  And what a sight to see looming over Anchorage, made the city look so tiny in comparison.  It always makes my day to see her.  One cannot mistake her for she is enormous.  During this time, all I could think was, "how come words_spoken ain't with me???", this would of been great to show her, some of these sites...next time dear, next time.

Made it into Toys R' Us ok.  A desparate potty break was needed.  I don't like using public bathrooms, but unfortunately, bladder with baby bouncing on it, I was really desparate.  What a relief....lol  I forgot how the store always is in stock of differents size diapers and wipes for those emergency cases, free.  Nice service, really.  Also they have a major Baby Fair going on this month, and found a crib and changing table/shelves I really love.  Among other things I want to get.  It was soooo hard to restrain myself.  But I did.  Tried to find things for Jessica as belated Christmas/birthday presents, no luck.  I did good.  I bought John M. an ice cream (that is the snack he wanted, brrr), me some gold fishes the cheese cracker, some Christmas Wrapping Paper (had about 5 rolls for $2 something good deal), and John M. a new Hot Wheels ball.    I was going to go to Wally world next, but knew better than to over do it, so next time.  Onward to home we went...but had to stop at Wendy's for a some food to take home.  I have been having a craving for a frosty and figured get the meal too, and John M. something to eat.  The chicken sandwich ended up being yuck, but ate most of it, fries ok, but the frosty hit the spot....now baby has hiccups, again.

Baby...hiccups is this child's passion it seems anymore.  Traded the acrobats for that...hmmm. lol  I officially declared myself uncomfortable with the preg. as of last night.  I am so ready to have this baby now.  I wasn't but now it is getting too painful to carry.  Last night, baby decided to play 'Alien' and try to stick her/his head out the side of my belly.  Made me cry due to the pain.  You could make out the head very good, it is about the size of my hand, a lil bigger than that.  And the baby kept on stretching out.  ouchie big time.  My next appt. is on the 18th, the day I wanted to head to Fairbanks for the weekend.  Ugh.  Hubby said wait and see how I feel that week, then go ahead buy the ticket in hopes the doc. says it is ok, and head up on a later flight.  Well...that about sums up my day...oh and got to talk to hubby this morning...he is tired, ready to be home. lol  Says he officially cut 'the umblical cord' to his replacement, so now she starts to 'drown'.
