In Tokudane few days ago, they discussed about the economic loss that will happen if SMAP disband. They read that according to Shuukan Shinchou, in 2014 SMAP total sales was 22 billion yen. No one will gain profit if they disband. The Jimusho's lost profit will increase several billion yen.
According to marketing consultant, Nishikawa Ryujin, in Tokudane live few days ago, "That's not all. You know how Mount Fuji represents all the mountains in Japan? Well, SMAP represents all the entertainment talents in Japan. It's like the country is suddenly losing Mt. Fuji. That's how huge the shock will be. If we think of the negative mentality they will cause to the whole nation if they disband, the loss value will be more than 100 billion. It will definitely cause an inestimable negative effect,"
