SMAP Crisis (1): Takuya's Statement

Jan 17, 2016 17:18

Takuya have released statement in his radio program, What's Up Smap on January 15th:

"I can't say anything right now. But when the time comes, someday I will definitely talk about our side of the story here in this radio. As Whats captain, and if you all listeners as the passengers, and me as the captain. Just believe in me and stick with me, the captain! This is our song, SMAP, Original Smile."

I do not want to talk much about what's really going on because nothing is clear yet. But from the latest development of newspapers and SMAP's closest people's comments, it is clear that SMAP is put in this position against their will. They have no intention to disband and yet someone else wants to destroy them due to their betrayal. According to Sanma, SMAP is caught in the middle of "oiesoudou" which means "internal squabble (over headship rights) in a daimyo family in the Edo period." They might be obligated to disband due to legal matters because they wanted to leave the agency. Or they are forced to disband due to an authority's demand. However according to latest news, Nakai and Kimura are currently in negotiation and working hard to avoid disband. Most likely SMAP will have to quit Johnnys Jimusho and move to a new agency, because someone is reluctant to accept them back.

After SMAP makes matters clear with their own words, I will explain what I have heard and what I have read, in this blog. Until then, I think it is unfair for me to talk about who's the hero and who's the villain. I feel like I need to know how all these story ends, before I bad-mouth anyone, hehe

Pray for SMAP!
