Daylight Saving Time

Oct 05, 2008 18:33

Today, at 2am, Melbourne residents adjusted their clocks forward by an hour, known as Daylight Saving Time (DST).

Now, I guess it's no biggie, but it's a first for me, and I would like to keep a record of it on my LJ. =D

Daylight saving time is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.

So I thought, DST would mean that:
a) I get to sleep an hour less today. (T_T)
b) I now have a 3 hour time gap with Malaysia
c) I ate my dinner at 6pm today, which was supposed to be 5pm, and when the sun is still up and shining brightly.

My biological clock's screwed up. Haha.

random, daily
