Hey everyone! I've been gone for quite awhile! The reason?
I passed up all my assignments and it is now officially MID-SEM BREAK. Some call it the study break (no way)! But for me, it's one of the few chances I get to explore more of Australia.
First, I went to Manifest!! XD
So on Friday and Saturday I went to Manifest! I was suppose to be a 3 day event, in the end I only went for two days.
On Friday, I went to line up, I didn't really count how long I waited, but apparently this year's wait was much faster than last year's. But for a first-timer like me, I was a pretty long line ride, under the hot sun nonetheless.
Picture that, but about 7 times longer? There were 2 lines, one for on-the-day reg and the othe for pre-reg. But the lines were equally long. I was on the pre-reg line and we moved a little faster than the other line.
I was pretty impressed with the weekend pass I got, instead of plain pin badges or just a stamp on your hand.
I guess there were fun moments. I attended three panels. I've never been to panels before (it seems alien to Comic Fiesta), so it was a pretty fun experience. I went to Lolita vs Cosplay debate (FYI, the argument that Lolita is not Cosplay won!), Anime 101 (basically history on anime) and Music (Hatsune Miku, caramelldansen etc)
Oh, and a very cool video for anime fans to check out. Especially those like knows some anime music. XD

The main cosplay event was a letdown. Not because the cosplayers sucked, but because they couldn't get the live feed on. The main theatre was packed as hell, that's why they arranged for a live feed from another hall. They got the video part right, but not the audio part. But thank you guys for trying. =)
Cosplayers were great! Friendly and nice people, and some with amazing costumes.

Saw awesome cross-dressers. Met up with ryuenuriko for a moment (lovely yukata btw!) and had fun walking around in Melbourne Uni.
But I guess given a choice, I still prefer Comic Fiesta.
Then on Sunday (which explains why I didn't go for the last day of Manifest... we went to Tesselaar Tulip Festival!!
Who's with us this time? Me, Yvonne, Yian, ZX, See Mun, Gan Li, Jo, Pei Wen, Hubert, Cheryl and friend. We departed from Caulfield to Richmond, then to Lilydale and taking a short bus ride uphill.
What else can we see? TULIPS of course! Lots of TULIPS.
Pretty skies and flowers. A sight to behold.
Then... on Monday, we went to South Melbourne Beach. Just a little while away from the city.
Suppose to go there to catch the sunset. But it was so cloudy. Sigh.
Present was me, Yvonne, Yian, ZX and Cheryl.
And who said spring is not cold! T_T We were freezing there. On to pictures!
