Thank You Music Fans Everywhere; and Thank You Reverb Nation.

I'm so thankful for Reverb Nation that you're able to download a song of mine completely free and I can get some money based on how many people do that.

As itty bitty as the amounts are, they add up and they've surpassed everything I've ever gotten from iuma.com and mp3.com back in the day.

I remember my very first IUMA check (independent underground musicians assocation) and it was like a dollar and a half I think for the whole quarter, but it sure was something. I was a musician and I was making money, Yippie!" LOL.

Of course I got one bigger check a few months later, and then the next quarter IUMA went out of business.

Them's the breaks, I guess. But for however long ReverbNation continues allowing me to give you an .MP3 you can download absolutely free for some of my songs and I can get compensated with a little bit of money for how much extra traffic I'm bringing to their pages, I'll be forever grateful.

And why am I pleased for things like a buck and a half here and there? Well, I'll tell you many years ago a friend of mine in Denmark told me he could host 4 of my songs on his server. I think it was "Hey Mon," "Honey I Shrunk The Batman TShirts," (Also known as the Gotham City 501 Blues) "Guerillas in the lobby," and "School Of The Americas."

Well make a long story short, he was contacted rather quickly and told that unless he wanted to charge some amount for each download and give the Norwegian government a percentage, then he and I would have to pay them something like 700 Kroners a year. Yes, it was by official cease/desist letter.

Boo!

I guess this was a longwinded way of saying Thank you Reverb Nation. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
