I just made some red velvet cupcakes. They smell divine...there's only a tiny problem. In the recipe, it calls for a Tablespoon of red food coloring, an entire container of red food coloring has like half that. My delicious-smelling red velvet cupcakes are cartoon blood colored.
SWEET!
I'm wondering if you could do "blue velvet" in a similar manner

I made some cupcakes today, and I'm sending this dozen with to work with James tomorrow (6 cookies 'n cream and 6 Vanilla Vanilla).

So...I made some tasty yellow cake (from one of my favorite recipes in The Joy of Cooking) mini and regular sized cupcakes, with buttercream icing.
