Harry watched her silently as she stood by the lake, seemingly unaware of the light breeze ruffling the unruly strands of hair about her face. Moving slowly he walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist as she stared out over the rippled waters.
‘What are you thinking, ‘Mione?’ he asked quietly, resting his chin atop her braids.
‘I’m just thinking of how different it’s going to be from now on,’ she said softly. ‘This isn’t our home anymore. And, you know, I always thought- thought there’d be more people standing here with us.’
He turned her in his arms, as she looked up at him through teary eyes. ‘It’ll be alright, ‘Mione. We’re still here, aren’t we? We’re alive… This is still real,’ he said, smoothing her windswept hair tenderly as he pulled her closer, thankful she was still with him.
