Summary: Leonard McCoy does not want to be on this shuttle, but for some reason...
A/N: Just a quick little drabble I put up on this entry on the jim_and_bones comm. (Must be a member to see the pics)
For some reason, Leonard found himself slightly more at ease than he normally would be as he sat next to the blonde-haired kid on the shuttle. It could be the swig of whiskey he just took, but that shouldn't have kicked in this quickly. Something about this kid made him feel just a little bit calmer... a little bit.
So, for some reason, he decided to tell said kid all about his problems with flying and his ex-wife and everything in his life at this point.
And, for some reason, the blonde-haired kid did his best to try calm him down for the shuttle trip to San Francisco. Even though they didn't know each other except for a name and a metric fuckton of problems, even though they might never see each other again, even though they could die from any number of things going wrong with the shuttle at any minute...
For some reason, Leonard believed this kid, who looked he'd been through Hell and back the night before, might actually be good for him.
