Kaileen and I have been back in Windsor for the past week and a half, having been kicked out of the cottage so that builders can come and stay while they build a deck. It seems the longer I’m away the more beautiful everything seems when I return. I put on Sam Roberts’ We Were Born In A Flame last night and it’s like I’ve been reintroduced to the songs. My house is the very epitome of emptiness. In the past four days Kaileen has come down with Isaac, Ken has moved out, and soon after Jesse moved out, taking Squirrel with him. Ha! I’d forgotten how amazing the year of 2004 was until I started looking through the pictures tonight.
