So my personal email is totally being used for work purposes now. I got this after hours last night:

I know you have your hands full right now getting the sampling setup. Whenever you get a chance, please look over the attached sequence for testing the SBR units. I would like to go over it with you and get your input. I don’t want this to be too complicated but would like to make a change and evaluate what it does so that we can determine if we are doing any good. That leads to a lot of steps and there will be a lot of work to monitor them. Since you are the main guy there a lot of this will be yours to do.
The alternative is to do everything all at once and at that point we wouldn’t know if what improved things and what didn’t improve things.
We would like to get enough done so that the MDE guys can come in January to have a look see. Perhaps we can change the sequence to speed this up and then go back later and dot the I’s and cross the t’s.
We also could talk about when this can get started and how to do it.

Soooo yeah. I'm stressed out like hell with everything going on, but sometimes I'm amazed to see how far I've come in 3.5 short years. Not bad for someone who didn't go to college, and whose past jobs include a bicycle mechanic, subway sammiches, and a freakin nightclub DJ for crying out loud. Not to mention that I used to play in a metal band, haha. Maybe it's big headed of me, but I'm fucking proud of everything I've done. I hold 4 licenses for this job (3 of them requiring exams), and have even received an award for Rookie of the Year by the Maryland Rural Water Association for my work in this field, haha. I've introduced new ideas and approaches to this plant, and even to the company that made our plant's software. I've made myself one of the most important employees this town has, and I owe it all to myself.
