Dr. Edwards called me today and left a message about Melanie! After much going back and forth while I was at work, I found out that her createnine is 3.5 (up from 3.4 last time, which isn't terrible at all). Her nitrogen levels are also 47 and her BUN is also 47. In July, her nitrogen levels were over 180 and her BUN was over 130. She's doing so ( Read more... )

This week is my last at work. It's strange to know that we're pretty much all leaving. Lots of people are gone already because they got jobs at the other Geisinger hospital, but there are still a lot of us who are just going to be out of a job. Melanie saw the vet today. Her createnine is back to 3.4!! She's usually 3.1 or 3.2, but I'll take 3.4 over 14.2 any day! I couldn't be happier. =)

Melanie has a bunch of medicine now. She has a bottle of pills and gets 2 in the morning and 1 at night. She has a liquid medicine that coats her stomach to stop nausea that she gets in the morning. Melanie threw up a little yesterday, so she didn't really eat anything last night. Today, I came home from lunch with James, she still hadn't eaten anything and was hiding in my closet.
