was a prompt by anon, so I hope you all enjoy it! It turned out a little short thought, but I hope you still like it!
When Cameron came home he found Damian sitting on the couch, completely absorbed by the book in his lap.
“Weren´t you supposed to make dinner?” Cameron asked, slumping down next to his best friend on the couch.
“Huh?” Damian looked up. “Oh I´m sorry, I totally forgot!” he apologized, which wasn´t exactly necessary, because Cameron wasn´t mad.
He actually always thought Damian was adorable, whenever he started reading something that was interesting he seemed to completely disappear into his own little world. He could sit and read for hours without even noticing what was going on around him. Cameron envied him a bit for that, he loved reading but he couldn´t stay focused for such a long time.
“What are you reading?” Cameron asked, shuffling closer to get a better look.
Damian smiled and held up the book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was written on the cover.
“I was feeling a little nostalgic since the last movie came out. I almost forgot how much I love these.”
Now Cameron had to smile. He knew how much Damian loved Harry Potter, he had even called Cam in the middle of the night just to tell him that he was about to see the last movie. Of course they had gone to see the movie together as well and even if it was the second time for Damian, Cameron was still amazed how excited the other man had been.
“What part are you at?” he asked and Damian turned back to the book.
“Oh it´s where Harry talks to Dumbledore, well he´s not really talking…you know what I mean.”
Cameron shuffled even closer to look at the page Damian was currently reading.
“That which Voldemort does not value, he takes no trouble to understand. Of house-elves and children's tales, of love, loyalty, and innocence, Voldemort knows and understands nothing. Nothing. That they all have a power beyond his own, a power beyond the reach of any magic, is a truth he has never grasped.” Cameron read and then drew back a little bit.
“You know I always admired them, they all have so much courage. Look at Harry, he might be the boy who lived and he becomes popular all of the sudden, but he doesn´t really let it get to his head. In the end he went to sacrifice himself for his friends without any regrets.”
There was a short pause and Damian smiled. “Well, I know someone else with that courage.”
Cameron looked up and met Damian´s eyes. His breath hitched in his throat as he found himself drawn in by the bright blue of them.
“Cam…” Damian whispered. The other man was so close, Cameron could feel Damian´s breath on his face and his heartbeat accelerated.
“I´m…just…” Damian´s voice was higher than usual and he didn´t get to finish his sentence, because Cameron leaned in, pressing his lips against Damian´s. The kiss was soft and hesitant, as if Cameron was waiting for his best friend to back away. But Damian had no intention to do such a thing, instead his hands shot up, tangling in Cameron´s hair as he pulled him closer.
Cameron was caught off guard and let out a surprised noise that made Damian smile against his lips. For a split second he thought about saying something, but the feel of Damian´s lips on his was just too good so he settled for more kissing. His hands wandered under Damian´s shirt, tracing up and down his best friends side.
Cameron´s touch felt like electric shocks to Damian and he shivered, tightening his grip on Cameron´s hair.
A moan escaped the Blonde´s mouth and both men felt a sudden tug at their stomachs.
“You like that?” Damian asked, his voice deep and almost unrecognizable to Cameron. He really didn´t want to start giggling, but he suddenly had a hard time to repress it. Damian drew back a little and Cameron bit his lip. His eyes met Damian´s again, they were still shining in a bright blue, but there was also a questioning look reflecting in them.
“I´m…I´m sorry…” Cameron breathed. “But…this just seems so…surreal. I mean, what are we doing?”
Damian´s eyes softened and he smiled. “Well I would love to say there´s a war going on…except there isn´t, at least not here.”
Cameron let out a laugh and fisted his hands in Damian´s shirt, pulling him closer again. “Well, it still felt like now or never.”
