OTAKON 2008/ MY QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS
I THINK I'm ready for this. I am SUPER psyched for everything. I'll get to see Spiker and his GF again - possibly run into some other folks I haven't seen for a LONG time like Alysse (at least, I THINK you said you were going) and Sarah (text me for Terra fun. Looks like I'll be wearing her Friday after all), and I'm really excited about hanging out with Jim finally (the heavens will weep). I'm also hoping to hook up with Janelle

Doll Factory Boss is like, 85% done - her costume is 90% done, but I still need to sew various babydoll parts together. That's my project in a couple of hours, after I get my liscense renewed, and get Ta-Kun's happy-kitty meds. I was feeling pretty bummed yesterday about my Dio Elalaire not getting done in time, and I laid down on the basement floor to take a break from laundry/packing. Ta-Kun walked up to me, and plopped down in front of me in a "spoon me" position. I felt better.
I love that cat.
I'm a bit edgy since I haven't been to the gym in almost a week. I REALLY messed up my lower back my last couple of days at work - but I'm going to try doing something with my arms today at least. Abs were even a no-go, because everytime I tried to contract them, my lower back started screaming. I've been popping four Excedrin Back and Body pills every 6 hours, and greasing myself up with high-test pain creme every hour. It's getting better, little by little, but it's made all my costume work the last week excruciating. So, I'm a little bummed about my belly and arms, but it's better a little flabby than dead.
Dio won't be making an appearence this time around, but I still have my Terra, whom I'll most likely be wearing on Friday. There will now be bead strings along the bottom lining of the cape. Bling bling. And Jill Valentine will probably be coming along, since my Motoko is in a state of disarray, I am NOT wearing Marta again, and I'm still not sure if I'm comfortable wearing my Higurashi Satoko without the leg ribbons. I'd fix them, but I have other costume priorities.
God, this all reminds me of high school and college. I never got anything done until crunch time, and that was to light a fire under my ass. Although, I HAVE gotten much better, since about 50% of Doll was done before I started sweating.
So... Since I'm turning the big 25 on Saturday (I've kind of forgotten about that with everything going on...) Hooters on Thursday night. Will probably happen after pre-reg (7ish). So anyone who wants to go, gimmie a text (412-977-3817) or just kinda show. No one has to buy me anything - just show up, and have fun with the boobs. I'm getting crab legs with my boobs, and will be VERY happy. Come share in the fun!

Friday- Terra Branford: Final Fantasy VI (I'm still sad about Dio...)
Saturday- The Doll Factory Boss: Condemned 2: Bloodshot. I love that thing. I'm going to be so disgusting, with boobs out in force. I tried the corset on with the boob-leather last night, and I realized just how exposed I was going to be. But it's rad, because I'll get to paint the boobage hanging out. Between Thursday at Hooters, and this costume, my birthday's gonna be the most boobalicious yet!
Sunday- Ummmmmmmmmmmm (??????) Something will come out and play. Might be Satoko (Higurashi), my whore-out option Jill (Resident Evil) because she's easy, and a crowd pleaser (that's not me, it's the miniskirt), or something else.

I'll actually be there tomorrow. Since I don't start the new job til Monday, and I had my last work day last week, I'm going to have an actual vacation for the first time in a long time. I can't WAIT to go back to the aquarium :)

I don't have anything formal planned, but I want to hook up with EBK, Popecerebus, Sarah, Jim and Brian for some FF6 madness, and anyone else I can find for any other pictures! I'd REALLY like to get some creepy ones with Doll.
What about panels or workshops? Maybe the dealer's room?
Words cannot express my excitement with the Dealer's Room. Being a huge con, I'm hoping to find things that cater to my obscure/older stuff interests. I want awesome figures! As far as panels go, I'll take it as it goes :) I know Steph's doing some pretty rad Hellsing panel (although I'm just familiar with the OAVs that have hit recently, and the old, not as good anime series), I'd like to see that - I'll probably also head over to the 4-Chan panel, though I might regret it... I'd love to get my copy of "The Last Unicorn" signed by Peter S. Beagle, or my Tachikoma I'm converting into a purse by Richard Epcar (Batou), and I'd love to say hello to Michael Sinterniklas again. He was SO nice at Colossalcon last year - even signed my Berserk Guts figure box!

I'm still a bit scared of me and alcohol after the last couple of times, and I don't want to feel like butt on Monday morning with the new job and all - so party = yes, drink, most likely not, but that doesn't mean YOU all can't :)
