I've been up since eight thirty this morning on five hours of sleep recovering from the flu, and I think what's keeping me up ( Read more... )

It honestly was not very hard or complicated, though I searched for about an hour for recipes trying to figure out how to do it just right. In the end, it all boiled down to ( ... )

I figure it'd be easier to just write it up here than to have them search all over the place. XD I thought it would be a lot more complicated, too, but I was pleasantly surprised! It actually turned out looking quite nice, too!

I'd also point out if I forgot to mention that if you're going to put filling in it (meats, veggies, cheeeeeeeese) you do it while there's still a bit of damp egg on top, then flip it over and, as one website told me, let the heat of the egg melt/warm your fillings and finish cooking the rest of the egg. But don't leave it too wet, or it'll just be...well...wet. XD

Our new(er) cookware is also really nonstick, but I used the butter just to make sure. It also adds a little flavor.

Flu sucks :( It's going around my campus and I am staying farrrr out of its way. Hope you feel better soon.

The best thing about omelettes is that you can put basically anything in them, so any small leftovers, from meat to rice to veggies or leftover Mexican/Chinese food, can be folded into one. So whatever leftover that would be too small to be a meal becomes really filling and nice with a piece of toast.

I stayed far away from people in general and it still got to me through Met. D:

Aah... too bad we didn't have any bread, or I would've added that. At least I don't think we have any bread...
