Nick, mate from college, it's his band. A few of us at college are auditioning for a college festival thing on thursday and I'm playing bass. He reckons I'm good enough so has asked me to play bass for them.
A bit softer than the stuff I usually play but hey I'm up for it. Gives me something else to focus on.
I think I'm in a band at college aswell with the guys I'm auditioning with but I'm not sure. Again playing bass but this is like a garage rock band, playing Vines, Strokes, Subways etc.
I like this, very upbeat but dont know if we're in a proper band or just doing this one show.
The singer reminds me so much of Duncan, in every way possible, except he's not as lazy. But he's cool, after being best mates with Duncan for 2 years I know how to handle him. Just got to be completely blunt with him.
After practice yesterday we had a load of the music practice kids coming up to us saying they liked what they heard and are looking forward to watching the audition Friday so that was cool. Especially after it was our first practice, well my first practice with them. I missed last week's cause I was too hungover hehe.
And even Steve our tutor said for a first practice we sounded 'rockin', but then I suppose he has to say that. Gonna be weird performing again, i didnt do it much before but it's been over a year and a half since I last performed in front of people. And Nick seems really serious about this. Dom says his other band have a gig coming up in a couple of months in Burton and wants us to support for them, and someones offered Nick a place on some festival thing next March.
I've only been in the band a week!

Also found a singer for Terror Storm! Shall see how that goes.
