These Work Around Need to Stop
To meet production requirement, I have put a lot of effort recently reconciling the BOMs on different systems by hand. My main problem is that our data base management system lacks the most simplest electronic I/O module. Every entry must be input manually, one term at a time. The lack of electronic I/O also means that I can not even compare to one file to another, so every file must be printed out and validated by hand.
I believe that I can use a SQL to extract the information I need, but I have not figure out the process. So far I found no manual and being a twelve year old program, many generation out of date, means that there is a lack of information on the web. Till I figure out a workable SQL system, I will continual to manually import and validate BOM's.
