Blood Failure Again
Had another blood donation failure. My right arm clotted just short of the minimum (80%) donation amount. Next time we will try the left arm again. Twenty plus years of donation have taken a toll on my arms. I might have to consider a long break or even a complete stoppage ( Read more... ) -
Dreams of My Father
My Dad been suffer from a form of Parkinson for the past few years. He is not as bad as he was eighteen months ago when he was hospitalize for two months. Now he is still limited mentally and physically, he watches a little TV, barely talks, and has great trouble moving and eating. Blood At Last
I was so off this whole weekend,I thought that I had to skip donation for another week. Today I was tired but good enough to donate. The donation went quickly. -
Blood Delay Again
I felt so bad at work, that I delay my blood donation for another week. It might be Con Crud but I been off the whole Dukcon weekend. I stop playing games midway through the convention because I keep making silly mistakes. -
Among Others So Far
I am about a third into reading Jo Walton's "Among Others". The book voice is interesting. The main character, Morwenna, is telling her story as a first person diary. The even pace description of everyday events and special events in her life brings an Alfred Hitchcock feeling of suspense to the plot. -
WisCon 37 Usage Summary
A very busy WisCon. I went to three out of the seven special events and nine panels out of twenty-two slots. Mostly I miss the very late night panels because I was at the parties and I miss the first in the morning panels because I was sleeping late because of going to the parties the night before. Blood Fail
I tried to give blood today. I been eligible to give blood for a week. I decided that I should give blood before the snow came this week and next week is right out with the change over to Day light Saving. My blood pressure would been way too high ( Read more... ) -
Blood for my Country
I was afraid that my blood pressure would be too high for me to give blood with a donation before a presidential election and after a a time change. Fortunately, my blood pressure was a good 110 over 80. My donation went well.
My next donation is New Year's Eve. I could of delayed it by a week, but blood is in critical demand around the holidays. -
End of an Era
I dropped off three CRT monitors and four CRT TVs at the Rycle events this past weekend. Most were working units just sitting on the self just in case the the one of the flat screen units fails. I had to let them go as they have been sitting on those shelfs for years. I
