we ended up doing a timeline of our lives. i got the suggestion from kenny which whom im beginning to get to know pretty well.
he told me he reads people very well and he gravitates to high energy people, repels low energy people and i think he was trying to tell me something- like he must feel some sort of energy towards me if he’s slowly disclosing more. he said he’s one of the founders of motion and he is the main investor. he talked about his job, his life, people he’s met, his wife, doing psychedelics and changing his life. i told him i like to revisit psychedelics every 10 years whenever there’s a major fork in my life. he talked more about his wife having cancer and how he realized that he has to protect her. kenny is really an amazing human being.
jesse had spring break last week and shaun dropped the ball last minute that I had to have Quentin. It was really annoying I had to change plans with Jesse. We ended up going to an art show on Thursday in LA and met up with his friend Jorin. It was a lot of fun I don’t know anybody in the art world and seeing the way they dressed and how easily they spoke without pretentiousness felt amazing. Afterwards Jorin texted Jesse that christine is great! Well it was just so much fun. Jesse and I spent the weekday doing home stuff, cooked a lot. Friday we had oysters and he made these amazing scallops with the miners lettuce. He took me on a hike and he found a bunch of it a lot closer to us. The dish he made was incredible. He roasted chickpeas and halved them so it had a better mouthfeel. Who are you? I couldn’t believe he made food that good. Last night I made grilled wings with 3 different sauces- a viet style nuoc mam toi, a miso soy with chives, and a japanese salt and vinegar with yuzu salt and rice vinegar and grated kumquat peel. it was so damn good. i grilled rainbow carrots and baby broccoli and ate with ranch kefir I made. We both cook so differently and still make amazing food. His food is much more delicate than mine. He does so much stuff I like and appreciate. I used to wonder being with shaun like is this it? is this my life? but with jesse i feel the door has opened to this amazing world i was meant to be in and im only stepping into the doorway.
