farewell Massachusetts
i sit in my aunt & uncle's house in West Willington, CT after just watching the *LIVE* Survivor finale ... actually live! it was a such a strange concept, having only watched "taped delayed" broadcasts living in Hawaii. neat.
my cousin CJ and i went to see a couple of local punk bands play in a club in salem, mass. Over The Edge and Pure Impact. the first one was awful, but they had a decent drummer. the second one had a cuter drummer (not as good) and was really getting the crowd going. lots of skinheads around, including the lead singer. then we hung out in a bar where his friend is the bartender and she kept giving him more drinks until we finally left around 1:30 am ... but not before i watched Trot Nixon hit a grand slam homerun during a live Red Sox game. i watched a Sox game in a Boston bar, how cool is that?
the next day i watched CJ play soccer in the freezing wind and then i hopped a Peter Pan bus into Sturbridge, mass where my aunt Karen picked me up. i got to see my cousin Kerri and a couple of her kids, along with my uncle's amazing renovated kitchen. going to visit my Grandma tomorrow.
i hear that the circus is in town ...
